There is literally no way to avoid that wobble when braking from high speeds, without someone designing a fancy future longboard (which they should, it would be sick)
@ryanswan392 жыл бұрын
@@lylechipperson3407 motorcycles that are prone to speed wobble have a steering stabilizer on the front end. It's basically a little strut filled with oil that limits the rate the wheel can turn left to right. A down sized version with lower viscosity oil in the strut could be used for a long board probably

Put it this way, everyday I go into work on my ebike, and there's a long down hill section, if I ride in the normal position, I hit 35mph going down the hill, if I lean forwards and keep my head down, I can hit 50+ My record, is 62mph using the slipstream off a friends car as I raced him down the hill. It's only a 16mph pedal assist mountain bike from halfords🤣
@Miche273 жыл бұрын
Simply put the faster you go the more efficient an air brake will be, you see when the air resistance lowers as his speed lowers he starts to use his feet to slow him down
@zaphr893 жыл бұрын
Wind resistance increases with the square of velocity (and proportional to the normal area) so at 80 mph the deceleration is quite large.

Awesome Video! My record is 64 mph on "Veteran's Memorial Parkway" in Fountain Hills, Arizona 1999? (confirmed by two different vehicles at two different times) I was running 3 Independent 215mm trucks (I believe those were the widest commercially available trucks at the time) The biggest wheels I could find were 60mm Spitfire (One of which melted off mid-run ha!) and I had just switched bearings to abec7 (I think I was just running abec3s before, around 50 some odd mph)
@ericbrammer22454 жыл бұрын
Noah, Tracker has had a wider, and more stable truck out for decades. Their '184' is as-wide as an Indy 215, because they measure the Hanger, not the Axle. And, any decent Quad-Roller-skate shop could've put you on Hyper Super-Mundo 72mm, 78A wheels back then. "PSR"
