I think the Catalyst will not only bring Cat guys BACK, but it will also CONVERT Doo and Polaris guys - ESPECIALLY if they offer a twin rail on the hard core again. If they do that, and the 858 proves to be a reliable motor, then count me in. I've always been a Polaris guy but the Matryx feels really tall and narrow to me, the G5 Doo feels short and wide, but the Catalyst....ohh man does it feel perfect. What a time to be living in the world of snowmobiles!! Miss the hell out of you RMR!!

I was a Cat guy (fathered in) my whole life, loved my m8, waited for a turbo cat, now im on a gen 5. If they get a turbo and twin rails and after a year or two they are holding up I’ll consider going back. Ill ride anything thou not loyal to anyone anymore.

We feel the same about the alpha, not quite durable enough for us and a little washy in the most aggressive terrain. Our 2018 Mountain Cats were some of the best sleds we've ever had though, we love the Cat brand and hope the Catalyst helps them get back in the game

Been waiting for Cat, to bring back that M series magic, they started with the M7, and I think the Catalyst might be it. So for 10+ years of Polaris pro's, And Axys, I think the 858 Catalyst could bring me back to Cat.

that big wheel needs a plastic liner like the hell fire wheels from iceage, youl get some ice build up and its tough on the track and bearings. not a great idea i think

Sick video!! When doubt gas it out! From a flat lander in Nc . Huge fan of the snowmobile . One who has never even touched a snowmobile. But have ripped Everything else. Is it like whipping a 2-stroke over a double? I Have snowboarded since a young laid. I know my way around some pow. I'm a grown man but just can't get enough of the videos. I've jumped ever jet ski and just can't get answer from a ripper . What it's like? The edge?
@Boondock_Nation10 ай бұрын
Thanks a bunch for watching!! Jetskis may be the only thing that somewhat compares to sledding, but water is flat and hard compared to snow! Turbo sleds have changed the game and make you look at terrain much differently, it's crazy what you can climb. Big air is our favorite feeling to chase and it's pretty insane the airtime you can achieve on a sled, you have a ton of control in the air between the throttle and brake for controlling pitch like a bike plus rotational movement with your bars and feet, much more control than a watercraft. And a big soft (hopefully) landing! There is no rush like big air yet when its done right you are 100% relaxed in the air, completely focused, feeling the flow and just floating, your body and brain working subconsciously to level the sled and land

One of you guys at BN are gonna have to buy a catalyst for next winter. I was gonna order a polaris but im heavily leaning to try out a catalyst. I may have to support cat for a year.

I just don't understand why they went to a 600 seem kind of laughable when other companies have had turbos for how many years now. They should have did a turbo 800 and stock ctec2 800 the first year then introduced the 858 and 858 turbo or 800 turbo
@Boondock_Nation10 ай бұрын
I don’t think it was their plan. Something held up the release of that motor.
@kyleoscar901810 ай бұрын
Pretty sure its because you need an 850 Polaris to keep with the 800 alpha. I know from experience. 7 of 8 guys I ride with own a Polaris. 800/850 and / 9r. Arctic Cat isn't about a numbers game, its overall ride ability and quality of ride.
@Brobro44910 ай бұрын
@@kyleoscar9018 I have seen videos of alphas out pulling turbos. There is a review talking about how they have plenty of power and just sometimes keep chewing and wont get stuck. i just think going to a 600 instead keeping the 800 is very odd kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZuclJqwjplkfdksi=b7ZkoOOe2pmiZxrT

@@Brobro449the couldn’t get crankcase’s built for the 858 due to supply chain issues, they decided to release the catalyst with the 600 to get the new chassis into people’s hands rather then hold off another year and listen to people complain about how cat isn’t putting out anything new.
