She has done them just from half way, that does not destroy the limbs, but removes water from the bow, which could affect her shots.

Recently I did and it's everything I hoped it would be and more :) Its magical lol. Only been at it 4 weeks but loving it. In South-Africa its difficult to find traditional style recurves etc they have to be made at high cost. I got a Samick Sage from 3rivers. As a newby i think its a great bow @ great price to start. Some of the more seasoned guys shot it and they were blown away. Seeing them shoot so accurately means its a great bow...any bad shots is me :) my advise - just do it :)

It's common practice to pull a couple inches and dry fire to test for loose equipment. She's obviously not too content with her shots, so she's testing her sight to make sure it isn't just her.
