Acting superior, patronizing and condescending is not cool! Well brought up people with class know how to be gracious. Learn from Deepika. The warmth and unassuming kindness displayed by her demonstrates her excellent upbringing.

It's extremely unfair to the girl who had legitimately been called to be a part of the show only to be put down in such a supercilious way by the hairdresser. The hairdresser should know that it's damaging for someone's self esteem, specially when it's on national television?! Constantly nagging. Very bad behaviour.

First of all, nobody has perfect hair. I'm sure deepika does not have that voluminous hair, volume, texture etc can be achieved with so many products available in the market. I don't understand why is it a norm in India to put someone down like the hairdresser did to that girl. Basically she is making her feel bad that she doesn't have thick voluminous hair, well that's not her fault. She is born with that kind of fair. I have thin hair and mostly flat but I sure can style my hair better than how it's shown on deepika. I think there was no need of putting so many negative comments out there by the hairdresser.

+Samreen H I completely agree with you Samreen , - I have seen lot of beauty artists in beauty parlours do that ..they in fact put down lot of beautiful looking girls / women ..Maybe its a ego thing - they just want to show how important or big their work is and how you are oh so ugly...why cant they stand someone naturally beautiful who is comfortable in her skin ?

This show seems really interesting and all but I think the hairdresser/stylist and hostess were extremely harsh while talking about her imperfections, just because yours were painted of with tons of concealer before you started filming doesn't mean you can talk about some else with inconsideration. Just my opinion...
@karindajagmohan10 жыл бұрын
I totally agree! They shouldn't have put her down and pointed out all her flaws, she was actually quite pretty to begin with.

Deepika is the best, isnt it patronising when you say her problem is petite frame, short height and acne! Everyone is beautiful in their own way, grooming and makeup only makes you look your best! deepika mentioned that even she doesnt look glamorous when she is not shooting! This is a bit shallow and defies the whole point of encouraging people to feel comfortable and beautiful in what they are blessed with. Everyone suffers from acne and flat hair, even the best looking actresses! grooming is what makes the difference, could have been done in a better way

Great show. Although I would like to say, it would have been nice if they high-lighted Shreya's area of change not as her ''biggest problem" (3:40). If I was in her position I wouldn't want someone stating parts of my body in that way. The way words are phrased and said can have a big impact on a persons self esteem.

Why do we encourage people to look like celebrities? They have imperfections themselves they have covered with cosmetics and sometimes surgery. Its in every celebrity culture that we prop up human beings as goddesses and make other women so insecure when there is no need for it. Its nice to look up to people but no need to feel less than because your celebrity is glammed up. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We put too much value on a certain standard of beauty and its not fair to other women of different body sizes and skin tone and other types of hair. Beauty comes in many and shapes and forms.

The hairstylist is so disgustingly rude. How dare she be so rude to the girl, on national television. Comparing the girl and Deepika's hair, insinuating that the latter has such beautiful, thick, voluminous hair, while the former doesn't is just plain rule. The mannerless hair stylist needs to learn some manners, pronto! Deepika has a whole fleet of people working endlessly on her appearance. Is the stylist so stupidly naïve, that she fails to realize that?

I find this programme extremely unhealthy for the self esteem of young women. First of all, they don't need to look" like" Deepika or anyone else to look pretty. Everyone is beautiful. Secondly it gives an unnecessary importance to actresses. No disrespect to them, but I don't see how anyone would not look attractive if they had a lifestyle like theirs. Thirdly, life isn't just about looks and fashion. Young ladies should be confident, smart , educated, strong,kind and well beauty, they are all beautiful! I checked this video out of curiosity but regretted it immediately seeing the sheer over-emphasis on external appearance! It's good to be fashionable but it's unhealthy to copy someone. Deepika is no more important than that little girl is! We need girls with substance not dolls.

There was nothing bitchy about the stylist. I've only met 1 honest stylist like her in all the many years I've been getting my hair done. Finding that one person who will straight up explain your hair to you and what will or will not work is key to having great hair! (aside from vitamins and a healthy diet of course lol)
