Energy business and the oil industry are the same, except no one so far has tried to open source cheaper and more sustainable energy generation. Open sourcing is really the answer to avoid having new tech classified due to national security risks. The fight between Edison and Tesla regarding AC vs DC is another typical example of industrialists trying to destroy more efficient technology for their own sake. Luckily Deepseek was released by a competing nation.. Had it been an idea from a start-up in the US, they would probably have met the same fate as Suchir Balaji, the OpenAI whistleblower.

The forward momentum of AI may have shifted focus away from finding optimal alternatives to implement AI, so they ran in the wrong direction too fast. It is really not that hard to understand why Chinese AI like DeepSeek is a lot cheaper, and more effective, at least, in the Chinese language domain. Chinese researchers and engineers focus on model and logic backed up by vast amounts of data collected by many big companies like Tencent. Alibaba, Xiaomi, etc, while the U.S. counterparts rely heavily on chips capacity and capabilities for computing. There is far more human intelligence involved in DeepSeek than ChatGPT. Human intelligence is a lot cheaper and efficient and effective than hardware. The Western media pretend not to understand this simple fact because they don’t know how to compete with China and they don’t know how to deal with the consequences in the human intelligence domain. No country has more engineers than China, and no country is better in AI applications in all walks of life than China today. The robots dancing in the Spring Festival Gala on Chinese TV this Chinese New Year are extremely revealing about China’s AI advancement and manufacturing capabilities. Cooperation with China is the only viable option for the U.S., so that the U.S. would know a lot more about what China is doing, and vice versa, for a better world.

To create a fair society that promotes equality, the third element of that trifecta is crucial. Bitcoin (BTC) and artificial intelligence (AI) pose significant threats to our planet, primarily through their consumption of energy and water resources. It seems illogical to focus on financial gain without ensuring a livable environment for future generations. 🙏❤️

Trading on a demo account can definitely feel similar to the real market, but there are some differences. It's important to remember that trading involves risks and it's normal to face looses sometimes. One piece of advice is to start small and gradually increase your investments as you gain more experience and confidence. It might also be helpful to seek guidance from experienced traders or do some research on different trading strategies

There is a technique in artificial intelligence called distillation. "Distillation" is when ChatGPT took the data and lines written by almost any human dead or alive, unknown or famous, to build its formidable ability to respond. ChatGPT became "all of us" only after we each diluted ourselves "one by one". The condition of the "great" was the cancellation of the "small".

If you bring production to the country and do more exports and more tarrifs on import then in order for this to work $ has to be cheap, so other countries can afford to buy American stuff and american stuff is going to be cheap to produce even when it costs a lot of $. You are presuming that DeepSeek is not lying how much processing power and how much money it cost them to actually create it. Until the open source is reversed engineered to determine how much actual processing power it took to create it, it's already been determined that it would have taken close to 50,000 NVIDIA H100 GPU's to create this. There is no way they did this with the older H80 GPU's. Someone within China (Hmm, I wonder who) got a hold of the H100 GPU's and maybe sold them time on it for $5-6 million. This is nothing but a big scam to throw the industry into a tizzy and manipulate the markets by nefarious parties. The other issue is, while they create all this confusion and chaos, what are they actually trying to accomplish? Slight of hand move.

It was Microsoft CEO, Eric Schmidt of Google and Andreesen Horowitz who started talking about Deep Seek and singing praises in public after having their engineers benchmark it against the competition. These firms are pouring hundreds of billions in to AI and understand this stuff. Deep Seek is open source and can be run locally. Meaning all these companies can look into it, take certain algorithms from it to improve current models. Small companies and app developers now can create their own models by copying and enhancing deep seeks model, that is massive for the market.

@@Barone2013 Well it seems that my suspicions were justified. It was just announced that Singapore has imported more NVIDIA H100 and other AI GPU's than the whole electrical grid could handle in a year. It's a strange assumption that chip sales will be less just because it takes less resources to operate it. That just means more people will be able to create and operate AIs and create an expanded market that didn't exist before. Not to mention, the larger companies that want to use their AI'S for large intensive projects could still purchase the same amount of chips as they would have before, but it would allow them to do more than they would have. If they can minimize the resources enough, each person could have their own individual AI's in their homes operating on their own hardware without connecting to a centralized service and exposing their privacy. Perhaps even multiple more specialized AI's per person to accomplish different things. It is just a more widespread market potential.
