Small correction: the $0.014 price is for a cache hit. GPT-4o would be $1.25 so 89x. It’s $0.14 for a cache miss vs $2.5. Still 17x cheaper!

all these privacy concerns also apply to american companies like openai and anthropic. i would bet everything i have that they process all of the input and output as well.

Well yea privacy is always "gone" when not self hosting it. Will check out if deepseek simple self hostable. Definitely alternative to the llama models.
