Okay, you've seen the warm up swell in day 1, now here's the real deal.
One of the bigger swells to hit the East Coast of NSW Australia in years.
After getting out the water this session, big wave legend Ryan Hipwood said 'it was one of the most intimating swell events he'd ever surfed'. Check out the comments at the end from Shane Ackerman. He's not happy!
This place is at the top of the Aussie big wave surfing locations for paddling.

12:27 the boogie causes a chandelier when aborting the drop enough to create a barrier of water and making it almost impossible for the surfer to exit a mental pit. This is the perfect example why you don't paddle on a wave that you don't have priority. Surfing etiquete is needed especially when the swell is huge it prevents stupid incidents and ruining other peoples rides.

this looks like a poor risk vs reward ratio - very challenging wave to surf, gnarly take off, hard to get deep, some sections go tight and others drop right out. fair play to all the chargers out there, not for me tho.
