when i was like 10, my mom hit a deer on the road i took to school everyday. it landed in the ditch next to the road and the property owners did not remove it for weeks. i saw it decay like this video in real time on my way to school everyday until it was completely reduced to a skeleton. death is inevitable and it can be random and terrifying, but there is beauty in being returned to the earth in which you came, to become the seed in which new life is birthed.
