What an amazing dog. We had borders years ago and will hopefully have them again. There is no dog like a border. Love the vids!

Wow. That is a lot of deer on your property. Star had her hands full. She looked like she was having so much fun chasing the first deer. Gees, I want to be a dog in my next life.

very cute..i love how when the deer starts paying attention to her she just acts all inocent and wags her tail. She is beautiful, I have one too and they just make the best pets. So intelligent (although sometimes that can work against you lol!)

Border Collies are my favorite dogs, so smart, but they really are the kind of dog that needs a "Job" or else they can be destructive. I have Livestock Guardian dogs instead, Great Pyrenees. Looks like you are doing a great job with your Border Collie.

"It's all on how you raise them"... right because breeding only impacts the dog's size, color, fur type, build, oh and behavior...

hate to break it to you but this isnt really "herding" behavior. I work stockdogs regularly and this video does not exhibit any charactoristics other than normal dog hunting/stalking behavior that any breed can/will show in a similar situation.

CarMelknl Do you know if a pair of cattle dogs working in tandem might be able to drive out human aggressive deer? A friend has a herd of about 15 that her idiot yuppie neighbors have fed, and now they've taken over the suburban neighborhood. I thought perhaps a pair of experienced cattle dogs might be up to the task without getting gored. Your thoughts??

was more aimed towards the comments saying this was what they were bred to do and commenting on how they want their dogs to get to this level of training.
