People mentioned that they played a short sample of Razgriz theme in the announcement trailer. I didn't catch anything or maybe it was a different trailer or even one of the "remixes", like 15 Years Ago from AC5 ost. Also, you can use the Razgriz paintjob in the Super Tomcat. It all hints that, maybe Blaze is still around. Though if you take AC5's prologue into consideration, Razgriz's members never took flight for combat again, so... maybe they are still flying. As instructors or airliner pilots.

I agree. One of my favorite qualities of a game is how complex its replay and record functions are. I remember using Battle Recorder in BF2 and it blew my mind, now we have things like Rockstar Editor and if we got that in other games, the community content would be insane

Fantastic! You've really captured that special atmosphere of Ace Combat, and the gun camera footage is a great touch. It took me a couple playthroughs to fully "get" AC7 but now I really dig the "high fantasy generational martial arts epic" thing it's doing-Clown's line in this mission about Trigger "still making a lot of wasted movements" does a good job setting it up that this will be about Trigger's drunken-fist-style plane kung fu vs. the surgical style of an old master. I mean Ace Combat has always been high fantasy martial arts, with prophecies and tons of fairytale and chivalric references and such (and "dragons" in the form of the giant superweapons), but they really take it in a cool direction here. The only thing missing from this video is a speech from an innocent princess who is being lead astray by a sinister wizard from a frozen forbidden land who is using the essence of an exiled prince to create a pair of terrible golems.

Sadly, we all know that the people who are in charge with AC now won't explore that much background and instead focuses on more cheesy "Save the World" scenarios.

@@TheRibbonRed Well, Osea has been a lowkey bad guy or at least very morally ambiguous for most of the series, I wouldn't be surprised if they were building up for some sort of big thing with Osea as the antagonist finally collapsing and bringing in the corporate era

@@kallemort sadly, Osea having similarities with USA somehow obligates ACES to make the heroes come out of them. It might've happened with the old Project ACES--during AC2~AC04 era--but definitely not the new 'Main heroes are Western-centric' ACES.

@@TheRibbonRed In ACZ they were extremely aggressove and even in AC7 their placement of the space elevator and deployment of the "birds of peace" to control the airspace of other countries was rather shady. It hasn't gone anywhere, but now you just have to read Aces at War to get any of it since it's not in the main story anymore.

Surprisingly I was relieved it had a replay system, not that other AC did not, but nothing worse than having to work in a game that does not even have a replay system. In fact, the DCS F-14 module nerfs replays so it is really inconsistent with the replays. Watch AI get a gun kill...save it...and this time they Fox 2..and miss. So it makes filming much more frustrating. Still, you are right it would be nice to have more options in replays, such as rewind, time change, freecam/drone with options to change the FoV. War Thunder does it quite well, but I haven't used that in a while.. Anyway lol... have a good weekend !

I purposely take my time on missions to hear all the radio chatter and dialogue, that's the only thing I hate about S ranking missions, you end up missing a lot. Notice the video creator had to play through more than once to get the Mig 21 perspective.
