I thought I saw deer this morning..... 😳 ... and I saw over 200 whitetail just peacefully grazing in the sun I saw 4 slightly bigger that average bull elk with their horns still on last week Wed. I couldn't believe it. Every hunter I've told this week looked at me like I was crazy but they were massive horns for the size of the animals mid April?!? You'd think they would shed by now and start their new set already in progress....

Just came back from the state forest with dad. Saw two Sambar does but they got wind of us quickly and scattered. A couple other hunters got a buck the morning we got there. One day I'll get my first deer. Edit: Thanks for the great video as well.

The deer have no limit or season ATM. Technically they are a game animal but that status is paused. It really depends on the property and impact either deer or roos are having as to what control is in place. This particular property the deer are treated as a resource.
