The "This is your recreational land" sign on the bridge must give you that 9 year old Christmas morning feeling every year. I am whimsical and jealous of this deer camp as mine has disbanded many years ago. God's country with friends. Congratulations on having such a place to be alive.

Yeah I have a pack of 5 running around right now that are there daily. Yeah I wasn’t real thrilled with that guy, especially being in the middle of no where, or so I thought. He actually ended up setting up about 70 yards away trying to cut me off. As soon as I shot he came out looked at the deer shook his head and kept walking. No congratulations, nothing. Luckily he hasn’t been back since but that’s the way it goes sometimes

@DroptineRidge
@DroptineRidge 4 жыл бұрын
Buck and Slug Reloaders - Thank you! In the UP there is a 3points on one side restriction in place for our tags. Some guys pass younger deer, some don’t. It all depends on how their season is going and how low their freezer is. In the past we did really well shooting older deer up there, however those day have come and gone. To be honest, oddly enough things have gone down hill for our camp since they put the 3pts on a side in place.

Great question! We are out of Michigan where we have a ton of state land that is open to public hunting. Not sure what state you are located in but you can purchase the app OnX Maps and it will give you all the available public land areas in your state. The other option would be to contact your local DNR and they can also pin point you on land to hunt. Hope this helps and good luck!

Haha #s.s.s and that maybe but they put exstemly high about of stress on the deer herd and all other life. Not to mention they are now over populated to the point of packs of 10 or more and going after peoples dogs and farmers cattle. Don't cry over an animal that could kill you. Unless you live there you don't have a clue what the locals deal with on a day by day basis
