I’ve been watching your videos for years! We also hunt 2D SGL244, 31 and our land nearby with Dads camp on it since ‘79. I guess its to each hisn. grew up hunting in Pike and Monroe counties. would never have baited deer with food plots. would never hav built and sat in shanties like you with heaters. but thats what is great about America. Freedom to pursue your passion in your own way. Been hunting National Forests in Colorado for the past 40 years. been a stillhunter and will die a stillhunter.

Love that 243 pump. I've got the first year of the Remington pump in 30 06 passed to me from my uncle. I hunt usually with a 243 bolt action. The 06 is reserved for track hunting fast accurate follow up shots. I'd freekn love to have one in 243 also. Alway love your camp and company thanks for all the great videos..

I shot a doe on Thanksgiving that did the same thing your dad's deer did. Perfect shot, no blood for probably 10 yards and then quit after probably 2 yards. She only made it thirty yards from the shot but the lack of blood was weird.

First Buck? Really? Better man than I! 😜😜 I have only recently, started my "Big'n" Quest. probably because I took my Ex-Wife's youngest Son, Austin, up to Fam farm in WV? Was his first hunt, let alone first buck? 2011, he was 10yrs old. I had bow hunted for a solid month, up there.....never saw any thing of that buck....? Weather was atrocious, Monday, week of Thanksgiving.....Ripley, WV had major flooding, it was raining so hard. It was so foggy, I decided to just sit with him in My stand. We had a 4pnt 'ALMOST' in our laps, but he wasnt tall enough to see it. Long story short...ish lol, I'm gonna walk him to where we talked about, he would have been hunting from. Fog was SO LOW hanging, when I told Dad what we were doing...couldnt even see him(only 10ft up the tree lol. "I will just stay here. might run something by me?" So here we go....jumped 3 about half way there. He was getting so excited. Get 75trds away, and I can see, what looked like a Round Hay Bale? I'd a sworn, sis said "We removed all the bales."? It disappeared over the HUMP. Wind in our face....I bought him a Doe Tag...LETS GO! There she is! I scoped her out, and was sure it was a Doe..."Ok, Austin, as soon as you can see her Shoulder, you ca"....KAPOWWWWWWW Reared up on HIS Hind Legs and looked me right in the eyes, as if to say,"Really Parsons! You let that A-Hole kill me?" 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂ That Friday...5 days later...going to pick up my Little Doe from possessor, I asked them what the biggest Buck they had received. One of he guys goes,"MAN! Some little boy from Alabama, killed a MASSIVE 8 pointer on Monday, in the FLOOD TOO!" Austin, sheepishly says, "Yup, I sho did!" Guy opened the Roll up Door..."Oh man! Look at that head swell! He doesn't know what he has done, does he? I got ya."🙄🙄 Last 2 Decades...Butt Holio answers his phone with,"HeHeHe, I killed yer big'un!" Dang it STACY 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Heck, he killed 2 bucks, the next year....Heck was I thinking? I let him come back!!!!! I am a glutton for punishment? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

In Tn we can kill 3 Doe a day everyday the entire season and 2 bucks a season. I'm from Pa, but now live in Tn for the last 24 yrs, miss hunting in the mountains in Pa, but these deer in Tn are much easier to kill, deer everywhere.
