Love watching Tayari bathing. There’s an older video of Iriki at Apenheul bathing and splashing in the water. It’s adorable watching gorillas playing/bathing in water. Tayari is teaching Jabali to like rain. I’m not sure if he’s 💯 on board with that yet. D’Jeeco doesn’t seem to like it as much as his two lovely ladies.

D'Jeeco HATES that rain and Tayari LOVES it! 😂😂😂 It's amazing to me how gentle they all are with the Muntjac deer. And Ringo ... what a precious babydoll! Iriki and Ringo are so chill! And it's so funny that Tay is teaching Jabali to play in the rain! ❤🦍❤

Great video. Thanks ! Always many great moments with this family. I think the end line about the simple life is why I like watching gorillas best: they have nothing material at all, just each other and the simple things around them and they are largely very content 🦍♥️

This is why I always crack up when I read comments suggesting that captivity is so cruel and that these gorillas are leading miserable lives when the opposite is so obviously true. In wealthy countries zoos have entire teams of people devoted to enriching the lives of the animals under their care. These gorillas have everything they need, most of which is each other and it truly is wonderful to share their contentment with the world.

Great green enclosure. I would like to see the Momotaro-Genki gorilla family could have such more green enclosure. Kintaro and Gentaro would have big fun here. And Momotaro and Genki would like it also.

I’m always stunned when I watch gorillas ! When I see one washing her face with water or throwing water at each other all I can think is “ animals” don’t behave that way ! That’s just with what I’ve seen in this video. The ones in Kyoto and Berlin do the same sort of think through kind of thing. They teach it to the others in the group especially the babies. I wonder if they are on the wrong side of the cage !

It's actually perfectly normal for the female primate to show the interest in the smallest baby in the group, wanting to touch or hold it etc. Sometimes apes even show interest in human babies that come to the zoo with the visitors. 👶🏽👀It would be weirder if Tayari didn't show any interest in Ringo. Iriki also tried to grab Jabali and run (which reminded me of Gentaro). I've read that the adult gorilla clap when they want to attract the attention of other individuals, but young gorilla also do it for fun.🦍👏🏽 It is always great to see Jabali try to play with muntjac friend, but it seems Tayari is not so keen on the muntjac, especially not in her home.🦍🦌💖 Do you know anything about Tayari's breast injury?🩹 I've first seen it on videos from a different channel (dating from Monday 23.08.2021). Jabali is happy, healthy, and thriving. While Tayari is not always shown to be the most nurturing of gorilla mothers by human standards, she is doing a great job of rearing Jabali up. He is getting all that he needs from her. Love this troop! Team Iriki!
