What is the popping sound I hear during a chiropractic adjustment?

Gas gets trapped in small cavities of your joints when you move and stretch. What happens after a chiropractic adjustment?

What is a Y Strap Adjustment?
The Y strap, also known as the y-axis traction strap, is a chiropractic decompression tool. Like hands-on spinal decompression, the Y strap works to decompress the vertebrae by gently stretching the spine. The Y-Axis Traction Strap allows doctors to perform traction as well as mobilization to the Y-axis. The Y-Axis Traction Strap corrects “kinks” in the epi-pia collagen network. The cartilage and collagen of the joint capsules are shortened and strengthened on the acute angle side of the deviations, making correction difficult unless stretching and time-dependent procedures are used. Patients may feel the release from the sub-occipital region of the skull down through the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions of the spine. Where one is most out of alignment, is where the effect is felt most.

That scraping technique being done with such a large tool, I used to do for my Grandmother 40 years ago, using a copper coin the size of a quarter and a cup of water with a teaspoon of salt. The salt water drew out the toxins and my Grandmother felt so much better after the treatment. I kept that coin after she passed away, with the edges on both sides so worn down, it was practically sharp.

28:25 I’ve dealt with severe inflammation for about 5 years now along with chronic pain and other health issues, Fibromyalgia, scoliosis, etc.. when Rob says it feels like a heating pad, that is spot on. My inflammation will give me itchy rashes with bumps and the “heating pad” feeling is so weird. And I’m only 20…Diagnosed at 15 was life changing, Been quite the journey. Couldn’t get my license til 18 & still to do this day, unable to work. I’d fly to Florida from Vermont just to seek help from this guy.

ROB!!!! I found this video EXTREMELY interesting man. Im a disabled Vet and an addict (clean 8 years) and cannot nor do I want to be on narcotic pain meds but I'm hurting too often and this has inspired me to check into finding a good chiropractor. I'm up in New York Hudson Valley Orange County the Doc should network with other Docs and recommend who to see that are as good and caring as him. Please suggest it to him if you have the time.

Haha dude that reminds me I had cupping done by my chiropractor and it hurt pretty bad. Then, after it relaxed he had me exercise with that on. It felt like junk, but it caused a permanent change in my back. When I would stretch my neck it would pull my low back and everything and now it doesn’t! Healing isn’t glamorous sometimes, but it needs done.

I have been to chiropractor now on 3rd time with acupuncture and injection dr for my lower back in the last 3 years. And just did my 3rd mri today as a matter of fact. My left leg is like a sleep with that tingly feeling abd the knee getting sharp stabbing and right is starting to get the tingle. Sharp very sharp nerve pain in tail bone. They say it sciatica but now one can fix it yet.

Doc, I believe he suffered a stroke not too long ago and thank God almighty he recovered exceptionally well. Given the medical history, does that limit certain chiropractic interventions? It didn’t seem like it. That intervention appeared to be extensive and impressive.
