Which trips have you been on? I am thinking of doing a short one to gain experience, then the 4 day ironman...I've read their tackle recommendations and bait suggestions...not a problem. But what are the sleeping quarters like? And can you cook your own food? Is a kitchen available or should I just go with the meal plan? Do folks really bring a dip net for shrimping at night for bait? They say you have to be mobile, but with the tackle requirements and snacks, I'd have to make a couple trips to move around...if you could share your experiences, would be greatly appreciated. Tight lines 😎
@Marcosmercado674 жыл бұрын
@@rolandfero9742 With exception of Pulley Ridge and Ranking Ridge, I have done many trips with them. My last 10-12 trips have been the Half Way Ledge one. Every trip is different even if you go to the same place. The way I see it is that you have better trips than others. You won't have access to the kitchen, but they have a chef that offers a meal plan and I always get it. It is worth it because the food is really good and I don't have to worry about taking food for 3 days - Every trip requires a lot of preparation an planing and not having to worry about my meals is a good thing. About the sleeping quarters: definitely not the Ritz... Some bunks are a little bit small and challenging to climb to but I get so tired after fishing for so many hours that they work for me. Keep in mind that you are going to a fishing boat, not to a Disney cruise. Most of the people use a sleeping bag on top of the bunks. Some guys bring a long dip net, you can get ballyhoos and some times flying fish and use it for bait. As I said, every trip requires planing and preparation but are totally worth it.

He doesn’t own the plane it’s just a private flight because it’s a chartered flight and Rob has a party of 4 or 5, so add a pilot and co pilot that’s 6 or 7 which could be the maximum occupancy for a small propellor aircraft like that one

Hi Robert, I love watching your channel and have for years. I am a Seventy Five year old who is concerned about you and the sun exposure that you get. Growing up I got sun burned a lot, and now am paying for it by regular visits to my dermatologist every 6 months. I have lost count several years ago at 50 + the number of skin cancers I have had to be operated on. So far I am lucky in that all have been caught in time. I see how burnt your nose is in many of the videos, i just want to say the damage IS CUMULATIVE. I have prevented any serious results from my exposure by REGULAR visits to the dermatologist. I want to be 120 years old and still watching you and your videos. Your sweet daughters and wife will thank you for it - (Me to ). When I go out in my little boat I look like a mummy all the time and it made a GREAT difference in the results of my doctor visits . God Bless Phil Kinder Melbourne, Fl
