I am from guam born there and learned everything growing up and surviving the island way of life. Growing up out here in California is a totally different way of life and people taking life for granted. Robert i watch your videos and buddy you know first hand what we as islanders do with what we have to survive. That tree climbing like that is something just not seen in the US very often. I remember when we went back to the island from which my father immigrated. He was in his late 60s when we visited, and he scampered up a 50' tall coconut tree like a squirrel and twisted off a couple of coconuts. That was after practicing medicine in Florida for more than 40 years (so no tree climbing practice during that time). You can take the boy off the island, but you can never take the island out of the boy!

We had massive, 100 foot maples, oaks and beech trees on our farm in the northern US. We used to climb them to spot deer. Sometimes, just for fun I'd climb to the tip top in the 1" limbs. Unless it was windy.

That seasoning he used is called “Ajinomoto”. It’s MSG powder. Mono sodium glutamate. It’s the japanese term for it. We use it in Hawaii too. We just call it “Aji” for short lol.
