Of course no one is 'afraid' of fat people, the movement just started based on the aversion to overweight people in society. The BMI thing is that I think when it was initially created it was based off of Europeans and whats normal for their bodies ( smaller body fat percentage) whereas recent studies show that people of African decent as well as other ethnicities can have a higher percentage of body fat without being considered "unhealthy". BMI also doesn't take into consideration muscle mass which can also vary greatly between ethnicities.
@theonlyonewithgum14522 жыл бұрын
Yeah, in general, BMI is just a smaaaaall, imperfect piece of the potential lens you could use to understand the picture of someone's health. It can definitely be helpful, but the amount of "weight" the non-medical public puts in its use and interpretations is bordering erroneous.
@trl21512 жыл бұрын
Sure but it's one thing to say some one is unhealthy who is a little thick based off of BMI but I think the target here is people who are at the point of being morbidly obese. You can probably be massively overweight and relatively healthy at the time being..But that doesn't mean you are healthy. It can make you more at risk to become unhealthy/ be susceptible to health disorders that wouldn't be an issue if you were at an more appropriate weight.
@theonlyonewithgum14522 жыл бұрын
@@trl2151 True, my only counterpoint would be... if someone is morbidly obese (or extremely anorexic), society probably doesn't need a BMI scale to come to that conclusion or to then extrapolate that this state is unhealthy and/or will lead to illness. I do agree that it can be used to help paint a general picture of what risks or current issues the person may have. It provides a broad but hazy snapshot of someone's body to start with.

Public bathroom stalls suck, no argument there. It's just not feasible to remodel every public bathroom. I’ve never cared if someone was fat and I never will treat someone differently because of their size nor do I think i’m more attractive than them just because i’m thinner than they are. They seem to think anyone who disagrees with their opinions is fat phobic. I understand some people are treated badly for their body and there are fat phobic people in the world but that doesn’t give them the right to shit on anyone who doesn’t agree with them or isn’t as fat as they are because as much as they say we make fun of them . they are the ones actually being hateful and mean because someone wants to be thinner or is thin in general. this rabbit hole has been so disturbing but so interesting to go down on only because of how delusional these people actually are.

It's important to have boundaries, and people that care like friends and family should respect them. But, if someone refuses to respect your boundaries, then don't have them in your life. You can set standards and expectations of how you want to be treated. Not everyone has to respect that. If they don't, don't have them in your life. Don't give them your time and energy. You can't control other people. You can control yourself and how you react to other people. You can walk away and ignore people that don't respect your boundaries, or you can get worked up and overreact to every little thing you don't like.

Well, a healthy bmi can vary based on ethnic background. Most medical standards up until recently have been based on European body standards. So, if a person from an East Asian or African background is assessed by said standards, it’d be inaccurate. Ms. narrator (not Dee) doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

They probably come back to you coz you are the only one who easily entertain them and not that hard to get, not necessarily coz you’re desirable

The guy I guess I kinda get it because as a fat guy my self it’s way harder to find nice clothes that’s not in lumberjack or over grown toddler look. But at the same time get creative accessorise and also just accept the fact that some styles just don’t look on all body types

Lets be honest, the guys the first girl gets arn't going to be handsome in the slightest. They will be Jeremy Kyle guest looking types . Even if they are some what handsome, she is an easy option for them, a guaranteed " Netflix and Chill" 🙃 her attitude was so cringey

They just wanted to bust nuts. 99% sure none of them give a fuck about her. No dude wants a relationship with a public parking garage. Every dude wants to bust with no strings attached, especially if it’s a desperate fat Chick.

Just shop online for Walmart's website! Or literally any affordable store will most likely have it, like fashion nova? My aunt is a very big woman and she shops there all the time(on sales)

I will keep on losing my weight. I have lost 18 lb going from 196 to 178. And im still losing. I am happy for all who are losing and fully support them. But i won't support people claiming to be healthy even tho their obese. Or complaining about things they have done to themseves.
