Thank you for the reminisces of our late, great, and dearly loved Captain. A joy to see!

they should do a statue of the great man, as said he represents the ideal Melbourne player when our new HQ and training facilities are built a statue of the man should be out front as the players and others walk in or by

Nice work on the "Master". I have the AFL Robert Flower memorabilia picture framed on my study wall, looking down on me as I type. Wonderful player, man and clubman. Truly respected by all. The piece of play at 4:00 was at Victoria Park Round 22 in 1979, and I was in the Collingwood Social Club stand (another story, but it was my only visit). We were being well beaten, but after that pass into the forward line, even the Collingwood supporters applauded (of course they would because they were winning), but it was a typical piece of R.Flower play, bringing the lesser talents in the team into the game.

Was lucky enough to see the great R.Flower play on many occasions, his poise, grace and humility still stands out to me. A champion of not only the Melbourne Football Club but the AFL. RIP Robbie.

My first game according to my dad, is the 1987 preliminary final. I can't remember 87 but I do remember Hocko from 88 onwards and those two very nice-looking ladies in those days. And that is about as far back as I remember. Apparently, we were down the same end where the members normally sit. But we were near the opposite point post from where the members normally sit. :) I cannot remember the game though at all. In those days, I stood on the seat, and still couldn't see over the person in front.

Was able to watch him at the M.C.G as a kid with my dad, great times🥰 Taken far too soon.

His natural ability was , well … “unnatural.” Fluid in movement like a ballet dancer, asserting himself in the battle of a contact sport.

As a Cats supporter watched him one day carve up Geelong at the G.Brilliant player.
