Bajirao was one of the best Indian generals who fought over 40 wars and never lost one. India used to be one of the richest countries in the world before the British looted it so the generals lived like Kings too. Mastani was a different King's daughter, a warrior princess(she was illegitimized because of her mother's religion) and fought next to Bajirao in defense of her kingdom and consequently they both fell in love and had a symbolic marriage using a dagger (it's traditionally allowed for Rajput women to marry a man's dagger as his proxy since Rajput men were born warriors and used to be away for years fighting wars). Priyanka is the general's first wife so initially she didn't have a clue but during the dance Mastani and Bajirao were making their attraction towards each other very obvious and that's when it dawned on her.

I think if you watch the movie and understand the context behind the song it becomes 10x more meaningful. The "King" played by ranveer singh marries the girl (her name is Mastani) that is dancing but Priyanka Chopra is his first wife aka the Queen. The song is talking about how when the King looked at Mastani, she feel in love. Also, how Mastani's love story will be told for ages to come. AKA she is telling everyone that the King and Mastani are in love. That's why the Queen is jealous or worried that she is no longer the Kings love.
