Had Chris did this after “Bring the Pain”, the crowd would’ve been goin nuts! This was b4 “Bring the Pain” aired. By the time he did this, he was off SNL, In Living Color. He was just doing stand up. “Bring the Pain” changed his opportunities forever.

Yea sorta, a premise in comedy are repeatedly constantly, the joke normally isnt, Bill Burr gave a few jokes after the isn't, Rock only did kicking an old man down stairs after the premise, you're right but only in premise which is copied all the time and only becomes original wit the joke
