It's frustrating watching this. lol! Mainly because you're only upgrading your speed. Health, and toughness are more important than speed. And adding a new fighting style actually boost up your stats. (Toughness, Speed, Health, Up/Lo body strength). Also, your not/weren't using L1 for harder/stronger attacks nor are you pointing the analog stick up, down, left, or right while punching/kicking. The AI will know your move set if you keep doing the same thing. That's why they can counter you and this is why you're getting/got your ass beat lol. You had to switch it up and keep them guessing. I know this video/series is a nearly a year old and you already finished it but I just had to say something lol. this will probably help anyone who's never played this game and are looking at this video.

Strong grapples can KO ppl as well with L1+X, then hit triangle or square for a punch air kick. Soft touch is a result of not using your haymaker kick and punch. They can both knock ppl out use the kick with the heavy hit modifier. Also when choose your second style you won't be able use your haymaker with kicks it will replace with the style u select. Kickboxing is probably the next best upgrade because you can do the clinch which was the move used on you by elephant man and guy before him. I do recommend u get a second style before the murdercage fight really helpfull

Yo chase press triangle just before they grab u it will reverse the grapple. Then press L1+triangle to do hard hits. Some hard hit can ko a person. Moves are different depending on styles.
