Steven Clark so shy and unpretentious considering he was the heart and soul of this band. Def Leppard was never the same after he died. I should also mention in this interview he looks like an angel.... just needs wings. We truly miss this musical talent.

Because of Steve they were the best duo around. Even now that statement holds up. You are right that they were never the same

Steve Clark was so important in writing their songs. I don’t mean to undermine Phil but Steve was the certainly the biggest contributer. Even on the Adrenalize album Phil was playing Steve’s riffs.

That's actually more common than you think. Most "heart and soul" people in bands are typically shy and quiet.

Lee Brogan.......a seriously fucking stoopid question from a lightweight wanker. The 'interview' is weird as fuck, both Steve and Phil clearly look both perplexed and simply befuddles at the questions being put by this absolute tool. Steve was not in it for the money, sure they ALL wanted out of the crumbling industrial situation and opportunities in Shefield at the time but they wanted to be a band, wanted to create, and with success they wanted came financial success obviously. Thank God Daddo faded from Australian televisions and radios pretty soon after this gig he had in effect subbing in as a host for the ABC's Countdown, he was and is a fucking dick head.

Steve looked handsome in black. The suit went perfect with his long, blond hair.
@williambroadstreet3353
@williambroadstreet3353 6 жыл бұрын
MJmysummerlove..yeah Lorelei had a HUGE influence on dressing 'The Riffmaster', she went to amazing lengths to design his outfits, the white jacket top with different flags including the Civil War Confederate flag was fucking sublime. What should also be added is we so very sadly NEVER got the chance to see this musical genius and total rock God live as they never toured Australia, they're on 'Countdown' here as part of a promotional trip the band made, the Terror Twins came to Melbourne but I don't know if the rest of the band did, as they're all in footage in Sydney [as you do out on the beautiful Sydney Harbour] being interviewed on a boat. We really....REALLY fucking lost out big time as a nation as the 'in The Round' Tour would've been simply sensational and I cannot for the life of me understand 'why' their management did 'not' play here live, they'd have sold out multiple shows. The 'tyranny of distance' strikes once again. At least we have this clip and a few others of Steve while he was here, and I'm SO glad he actually got the chance to visit Australia, I bet he'd have loved it, the weather was from what I can see really nice and sunny when they came out. Steve's clothes were pretty much ALL put together by Lorelei after they became a couple, she has some beautiful KZbin posts where she goes through Steve's clothing, explaining why he wore the outfits he did, where she got the materials, she has, in addition to at least 1 of his guitars, still several, or many items of Steve's clothing and his iconic boots. But you could ALWAYS bet one of the 'Daddo brothers' would fuck it up when they had the chance, the questions put to both Steve and Phil are from the ridiculous to the absurd.

Steve always struck me as being very reserved and introverted. Not the sort of man who liked interviews much and really needed his down time. This is what made him even more fascinating how he was so talented, flamboyant, charismatic and incredibly striking on stage. It never ceases to sadden me how someone like him who had so much to offer was taken so young and in his prime. Def Leppard have never recovered from his untimely passing.

Steve was VERY quiet....after a few drinks and that was a flick the switch job as he was probably bi polar as Lorelei has said she thought and his Father was a dog who Steve was ALWAYS seeking affection and approval from, hia Father has to livve with what he did, Steve's Mother was a wreck and still is, recently Rick sent her a picture of a portrait he's done of TR and appatrently she just nearly collapsed in tears, imagine how his Mum feels.......I recently asked on FB the great Steve Stevens had he ever met The Riffmaster as both Idol and Leppard did tour or cross paths in the 80's and SS was SO kind to reply that he had met Steve...and you know what Stevens said about Steve, his most vivid memory? Steve was a quiet bloke, a genuinely nice person. Says it all #TR

This host only intimidates joe Elliott, by the way. A younger version of my alien lied, and people saw his lie on ghost cameras....My alien will NEVER be even a little bit by anybody. Why? Because he can FEEL my emotion towards him. All know what a younger version of my alien is doing... he slaughtered onr of the same age as him... and that slaughtered one just did magic paperwork that turns him into my pet.
