Yes Def Lep-- seen it all from 1981... teenagers, now through 40 years later. I have two favorite memories. My first was winning a signed band autograph guitar, won through an auction up in Syracuse for the local FM rock station in 1999. It was one of Phil's blue guitars, has all the band sigs. The second was attending at the Roxy in NYC the taping of story tellers. My friend knew the owner, was able to get us two tickets. This was also I think 1999. Only about 200-300 of us where at the taping for VH1. Most of the people were winners of a rock station promotion or fan club. We sat about 10 feet from the band. They played about 10 songs, 5 were acustic, the other 5 metal. I have that ticket stub, its a classic.

Saw these guys a few years ago in Pittsburgh. I remember going in thinking "yeah this should be interesting" I believe they opened with Rocket. I was instantly back in the 80's. I couldn't believe how good they looked and sounded, it was as if they didn't age a day since Hysteria was released.

For all the people that cry about Joe's voice: a) You're commenting on a BOOTLEG video. This has been copied from TV to be uploaded here. b) Please post your musical credentials, including the school of music you graduated from, degree obtained, names of all your professors, and your income tax returns reflecting how much you made performing music full time. Thanks!

@zlzFUNNYMANzlz while I agree that his voice was definitely better in the past, his microphone is nowhere near loud enough here. thats more of the reason why its hard to hear him. I think his voice is still pretty good, especially for 52.
@sKraat5283 жыл бұрын
There really isn't a justification for calling it 'worse', his voice isn't as smooth but I actually think its more unique. Think Eric Bloom from Blue Oyster Cult, he's like 73 and voice is pretty crackle but fits soo freaking well with what they play now

@zlzFUNNYMANzlz Joe's best era was 1992 (7 day weekend tour) ... this was last time when ALL songs were played in standard tune, then in 1993 songs like Hysteria, Have You Ever ,Love Bites and couple more were played half tune down. Joe's voice was pretty good on Euphoria Era - just listen to Tokyo '99 gig.. Since X his voice got worse.... Sorry for my english and greetings from Poland!

I thought this sounded like one of their better performances. It's really too bad their voices don't sound the same forever. Too much screaming over the years and you lose it like Mariah Carey. Still love them!

@zlzFUNNYMANzlz That's what 40+ years of screaming into a microphone will do to you. Same thing has happened to James Hetfield. I was looking through Leppard's recent photo book, and there's a little piece Joe wrote that said he asked Ross Halfin, the photographer, to take photographs of him when he wasn't screaming, as it looked like that's all he as doing. But, he said, he probably was. That gets pretty heavy on the vocal chords.

Wow. Joe Elliot's voice has come back pretty nice. He was sounding pretty rough for a while. Bought one of those Jackson PC-1's two years ago. Sick fucking guitar.
