Exactly! I love to see the brotherhood of these legends especially waiting for Rick to recover and re-learn to drum. Everyone loves a person or band that is not pretentious and think they are God's gift to the world....(even though they are a gift from God). You never see a band that hit worldwide superstardom and still be humble, let alone still together except for the tragic loss of Mr. Clarke. His guitar playing was second to non.

They didn't have to go with the same old answers though. After being asked a hundred times about Rick, I would guess there'd be a strong temptation to give an answer like this... "Rick knew his days were numbered. Once we made it big, it was inevitable that he was going to go the way of Keith Moon & John Bonham. So he actually got off lucky with losing just an arm, and not exploding Spinal Tap-style." Then sit back and watch her face turn white.

auri black...Despite Elliott's endless interviews with little if any mention of the real genius of this band, Steve 'The Riffmaster' Clark's legacy has enabled this band to tour for decades off the back of the enormous incalculable gift/back catalogue Steve left Leppard. His legacy still and will forever live on, their lack of success post Steve's passing evidence enough of Steve's songwriting and song/melody/structured riffs, hooks and bends.. As his best mate who has and continues to think of his best mate every single day once so perfectly described "Steve had the ability to create a Japanese garden of musical wonderment". Indeed he did. And in the current tour 'Hysteria Tour' Leppard still kick arse, no backing vocals, Viv has been extremely 'right' for the band and is a monster axeman, but the current tour rightly gifts we long time fans a minutes silence as Steven Maynard Clark is beamed up onto the screen with a beautiful picture with 'that smile' as he holds one of his red 18 string Razors, his birth date and the day he passed also shown, and then the band tear into one of the many iconic songs Steve simply nailed in 'Gods of War' after footage of Steve 'In The Round' in Denver Colorado in 1988. Yes, the audience erupted, and most were also reduced to tears. Steve's gift forever lives on. Thank you so very much for posting this video.

No disrespect to Steve, but pretty much every band that was big in the 80's has struggled since to match the stuff they did then, Maiden, 'tallica, Dire Straits, Kiss, Crue, The Police, Rush, Blondie, The Cars. MTV, in the end killed music, by concentrating solely on singles. The internet and sites like this one have only made the situation worse. Which is why the only thing in music that matters now is playing live. Nobody makes an album

@@dominicshib3276 , do yourself a huge favor and pull up the video of the band playing “Too Late” live in the round in ‘87 or ‘88. It’s epic on SO many levels, not the least of which is Steve Clark’s monster performance! As Joe once said, “Steve was God Almighty on the guitar”...and nothing illustrates it more perhaps than this performance! 🥰🎸❤️ You’re welcome. 😉

The band's best album was High n Dry. One of the greatest albums in rock history. A concert of just that album would be bliss. I never did learn how the song named On Through The Night got onto the album _after_ On Through The Night, but that's one of my favorite songs. An intense vamp-lead that gets me every time.

Talking about Ricky, losing his arm, reminds me of Bethany Hamilton, when her arm was bit off by a shark and the first thing she asked in the hospital was when can I surf again and her father need a surfboard that she could use so she could duck dive with one arm. It seems as though the enemy tried to work against the leopard in many ways however they Rose above that and they should be grateful to God in the name of Jesus that everything is continuing I am on oxygen I thank God for able to do what I can and have God and where I'm going I'll continue to thank him and give him more Glory I feel they are not maybe the best band in the whole world however in my book I like them myself I think they're the my favorite rock band in the whole world everybody has different tastes so and you have to be considered of others I they are not a born again Christian band so that's saying a lot considering I feel that they are the best rock band in the whole world for I only listen to them really here and there I do not really care about rock music anymore for some more interested in Born again music Christian music for I have a Christian music artist too I record and write songs of my own home I do everything myself because I'm an oxygen. However Def Leppard is blessed and they should be very grateful and honoring to God and not do devil signs and things of such nature as tarot cards or anything like that nature but that is not godly a finger pointing up to heaven would be nice and would be even good however you couldn't do peace signs God loves peace I just don't like that devil sign or anything to do with any idea of devil they have too many things going for them good to not appreciate the Lord I would like to see them go to heaven I want them to be forever and their loved ones
