I find this song emotional because it marks a turning point in music history. Released in 1992, it's one of the final songs to have an 80s feel to it. Grunge was already mainstream when 'Let's Get Rocked' came out. A year earlier, the world wide web became public for the first time. The 90s was stepping in, and the 80s was doing its farewell. 3:16 marks an interesting point where the hair-metal culture of the 80s is meshing with the technological revolution of home computers and the internet for the first and final time, and the melody goes well in tune for an upbeat farewell.

Few years later working full-time going the college having my first apartment. Hysteria. 1998 the promise song I just opened my first business. And they can write the soundtrack of my life. When this song came out that was in my early 20s out of school and working in the business world. I've kept myself young and healthy just like boys in the band. I saw an interesting interview with Phil Collen and he said that since most of the music was written for Adrenalize at the time Steve Clark died, he actually had to try to mimic Clark's guitar style so the songs would sound as Clark had intended. He said that he was fortunate in that he was so familiar with Clark's playing technique, but that it was also very difficult because he had to consciously alter his own style and then keeping the two parts separate in his mind was a challenge.

I was four days shy of my nineteenth birthday when ADRENALIZE was released 31 March 1992 ... can still remember the hype and excitement leading up to it finally going on sale. If my now-seasoned memory is serving me well, the video for Let’s Get Rocked was finished and released to help with promotion shortly before release of the album. The video was state-of-the-art for early 1992, as the art of live-action computer-generated graphics was very much in its infancy. Now, almost twenty-eight years hence, to me ... this video STILL looks crisp and fresh. Upon release, ADRENALIZE went straight to the top of the albums charts in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and whole host of other countries.
