I was saddened to hear last week that Hurricane Joe passed away. Joe was probably the most passionate Steve Clark fan you could get after seeing him live on the Hysteria tour. Inspired by Steve's passing, Joe dedicated himself to learn everything he could about Steve's playing. Joe was also one of the first people to comment on my first few covers back in 2011 and was always extremely kind and complimentary to me. When I made the Steve Clark tribute video last year, I put the idea to Joe and wanted him to be a big part of it as he flew the flag for Steve and wanted everyone to know about how great he was. So this video is dedicated to him. Go and give his channel a visit and see what passion he had for Steve and music kzbin.info

So sorry for the loss of your friend Hurricane Joe. You and Joe have been carrying the music of Steve on for years and we greatly appreciate it. I have seen Joe's videos numerous times and really enjoyed them. I'm also glad you were able to do the Tribute to Steve with him before he passed on. RIP Hurricane Joe

Oh man, I had no idea of his passing. I've watched so many of his videos and felt so connected to him, his lessons and playing. RIP, Joe. We lost a good, pure teacher of all things Def Leppard guitar and playing it with spirit. Damn. :(

You rock! Another favorite of mine. You're so freaking awesome. If you had a metal bucket and a broom handle with two wires attached to it. You would have a hillbilly guitar and even you could make that sound good! Whatever guitar you play. Whatever song you play you kill it!

@@bwm5150 how come Phil did the majority of the leads on Pyromania & Hysteria, when Steve was highly capable?
@bwm51502 жыл бұрын
@@cbarrett34 It's pretty even on Pyromania, Phil only just edges it because they both play a lead on Action Not Words. Hysteria is also even when you take out the solos they played together like on Rocket, Sugar and Hysteria, but Steve composed two of those so you could say he edged it there.
@cbarrett342 жыл бұрын
@@bwm5150 true, but why did Phil get to play those great leads on Pyromania's 3 biggest hits, Photograph, Rock of Ages and Fooling? You would think Mutt Lange would've let Steve do one of those and Phil was the new guy.

Live, Steve and Phil both play some of the leads in the second verse together, which is why I do it here. I don’t think it matters who did it on the record.
