You'll need at least some neutral alignment land for civs like Dwarves to spawn. They won't spawn in Good or Evil. Hopefully you get it working!

This reminds me of making worlds with hundreds of volcanos where 60% of them have sedimentary layers for maximum fun and lava defenses

90% of my playing time is trying to get a unique world with every biome possible. No luck so far...

Yea it's about 90% of my dwarf fortress playtime haha, but honestly I really just enjoy building worlds and looking at the legends viewer. Also thanks for watching!

A tip that I can give to people who are trying custom world gen settings is to make minimal changes then save and gen. If it works you go back and make more minimal changes, save and gen. If it crashes or there are to many rejections you come back, put back on how it was before and save. Do that again and again and you can eventually make a world very unique and still usable by the game.

I think dwarves only spawn in neutral mountains. You might end up with a legends only world repeatedly.

I've never been able to generate any custom world. It always complains about something... not being able to place rivers.. something about the savagery mesh... even with the default templates it just doesn't work for me.

Yea I’ve been trying to tweak it to get a super hellish world and the game is just not having it.
