The Monday night game was mine and my son's 1st game in Minnesota. I've watched them for 40 years of my life. Its hard to even put into words the experience of that place. Its magical to say the least. If your a Vikings fan and have never been, you must go at least once.

I don't think it's really speculating when it comes down to it. The inconsistency at QB is what caused the team to falter as the season progressed. The defense was on the field longer, which strained the playbook and the players. On offense the playbook had to be simplified due to a rotating door at QB which in turn made it easier to defend. Then the injury bug hit and it caused a death spiral they couldn't get out of. Hopefully in the offseason they get the QB of the future so someone can learn under Kirk and make this team a scary destination to play.

The offensive Coordinator position was a revolving door under Zimmer. Kirk never had two consecutive seasons with the same OC. We now know that Zimmer was an insufferable prick that nobody had respect for. Also, Zimmer's once great defense became the worst in the NFL. Predictable. It's easy to blame the QB, even when he's putting 30+ points on a board, but it was Zimmer driving the ship, and he alone sank it.

@@LewStewls Well said. His defense got worse every year. The passing defense dropped from 2nd to 5th to 18th to 27th to 28th. The rushing defense went from 2nd to 13th up to 7th down to 15th to 26th. In 2022, the total defense was 31st. He also had a winning season every other year and had a 1-2 playoff record before Kirk.
