I personally call the glass relocker safe cracking busted for 1) the loot was damaged from the thermal lances alone 2) they had to open the safe to make it water tight and 3) true the door was off the safe but the loot was far from not destroyed

Iirc they could only find a fire safe within budget by the time for filming. Not something that was actually rated against burglary. So like the scope snipe myth they decided to test the idea rather than the specific circumstances.

@@swilleh_ they literally said the goal was to blow up the safe without destroying what’s inside and even if they just thermal lanced the hinges or even bore a hole in the side of the safe where the door isn’t they still would’ve set fire to everything inside the safe and the loot would still be destroyed
