Defective Ignition Coil

Burnt spot on an ignition coil causes no-start.

That is one from Camry; it arcs on the distributor rotor reluctor teeths

Yes, I believe it was a Toyota coil.

Was this caused by replacing the ignition coils with a generic part (instead of a Toyota part)?

is that a Toyota coil ? if so i had one fail by the secondary terminal(cracked insulation ) it was causing a random misfire/ stall at idle and while driving ..
