The super gameboy is great, Is much better to play Game Boy Games on a big screen With A SNES controller, Be great to see you play more Game Boy games on the channel Especially as you can miss about with the colours to make it look better

Cheers Mark, already in my plans, Gameboy will likely be in the regular mix. Just picked up Rodland from my local game shop and that's brilliant!

I know less than nothing about the SNES, and so I did not know this cartridge existed. VERY cool!! Defender looks better than it does on the TI-99 (It's not bad on the TI, but a change of directions could give you whiplash). Directional changes look much more fluid and arcade-like here - when you turn, your ship continues to 'float' in the direction it was preciously heading until you hit thrust, on the TI, you are 'jerked' into the opposite direction on a dime, which is quite jarring. This sure shows off the amazing Gameboy tech!! This is an outstanding port for such a tiny machine. Hope to see Joust someday as well... of these two, it was my preferred game (and I have the Carpal Tunnel to prove it).

I think I've mentioned to you before but TI Defender was MY game back in the day, absolutely loved it and as a kid I never thought anything about the lack of inertia. Of course it's far more noticeable now but I do still bloody love TI Defender, plays well and sounds fantastic! But you're right, the ship mechanics are much more like the arcade here with the turning inertia etc. Plays great and the sound effects are incredibly accurate to the arcade, puts most other conversions to shame in that area which is crazy for a Gameboy game. I will show Joust at some point, might not be for a little while though as I picked up a Gameboy game from my local game shop today and my next Gameboy gameplay will no doubt be that one :) Cheers as always for watching.

Crazy really how fantastic the sounds are for a Gameboy game, puts most of the home conversions sound effects to shame. Brilliant little conversion. Cheers Ed.

This SNES thing is getting to me!!! Ordered one 3 weeks ago and got stiffed by the seller, looks like the exact same thing is about to happen again....I'll get my money back but I'm dying for a game of Mario All Stars.😬 I've never had the GameBoy adapter, almost got one years ago but was never really into portable gaming so didn't see myself building up much of a library. I do love the SNES as a console and it's another one of those that I regret getting shot of years ago. That version of Defender looks really good and some of the spot sound effects are almost identical to the coin op. I'll persevere and try again to collar a SNES....Great video Lee, liked the colour palette changes, make the background green for that authentic Dragon 32/Tandy CoCo feel.

Oh no that's a shame Allan, fancy being screwed over twice over the same item! Rotton luck, and then like me you have Arcade Shopper messing about. I'm lucky as this is my original SNES, same goes for my Amiga A600, a miracle I kept them really and think I only did due to the fact they didn't really have much value to sell over the intervening years. Nice to have at least some of my original stuff still. I got the Super Gameboy gadget from instore CEX, £15 well spent, been waiting for my local to get one for an eternity! I do still love the SNES, but strangely rarely play it compared to my other systems. Collecting a few Gameboy games for it will be fun though as I used to like a few of those but I don't play handheld any more. This version of Defender is brilliant, and like you say the sound effects are incredibly faithful to the arcade. Good luck with sorting out the SNES, third time lucky and all that.

Cheers Alex, well impressed with Defender running on this, pretty sure I used to have Defender back when I had my Gameboy Colour, whatever the case it seemed the right game to start off this nifty little device with.

Always love a game of Defender buddy, and this really is a cracking port despite being for the humble Gameboy, sound effects are better than they have any rights to be, brilliant all round. Cheers bud.

Well worth picking up if you have a SNES, they're super cheap and open up so many great games on the bigger screen. Cheers for watching.

I still have the original Arcade versions of DEFENDER and JOUST for the PlayStation 2 in one compilation, MIDWAY ARCADE TREASURES 😺👍🕹️. The graphics on the Game Boy Color look cool, and the sound effects are retrospectively Arcade purrfect 😺👍🕹️. Although, the green color... Well 😹...
