Defender is still a great tank... Skoda kinda put it away because it's faster and has that broken clip, but Defender really doesn't lose any of its qualities with newcoming tanks

I wouldnt call TS5 a dangerous tank in a close to mid range, you can easily just press the 2 key, load gold, and smack the lower plate of TS5 and easily pen it every single time and tier 9 or tier 10 tanks dont even have to load gold to abuse that poor player.

I used to hate Defender. I changed my play style and actually was able to make it work. Now i like the tank. Sure you can end up with 800 dmg but thats how Wot is working nowadays.

Skillman - the problem with the defender is it’s just plain redundant. It’s almost a glass canon, power creeped and then adding insult to injury the typical tech tree heavy eats them for lunch. Some premiums are worth the investment - temporarily, but the time to invest in this fossil has come and gone.

The biggest "crime" the defender caused was to normalize gold ammo. They shoved it in and it was either spam gold or go home. And once this "mindset" got programmed into the playerbase it became the new standard in any situation. Now we have it that it's probably more common to fire prem ammo then regular ammo. One can either adapt to that or stop playing, but it really didn't improve the game at all.

I played Skoda today, for credits. Even tier X run away when you pen them. Because they know that 3.5 secs later there's another hit coming. Disgusting. On my side, that 3.5 seconds can feel excruciatingly long. Long enough, in fact, that the juicy target manages to get behind cover before you can shoot it. I love playing with the Skoda, I hate playing against the Skoda.
