Defender. The Greatest Arcade Machine EVER!

For my money Defender made by Williams will always be the greatest arcade machine ever made. Released in 1981 it initially had a slow start but eventually people started to fall in love with the game and the rest is history.
Going to the arcade was a big part of my childhood and some of my best memories are from playing memorable arcade games like Defender.

My favorite game ever . All of us picked a machine in the 1980s and we bought a roll of quarters and proceeded to master our chosen games - my friends picked asteroids , Tempest and Packman while I picked Defender and I learned from someone else that was really good at it and after awhile I turned it over to 0 and continued to play as long as I wanted . LoL

The console games arent the same . I need a big lever and big buttons like the original had . The little handheld controller isn't the same .

​@@creed5248That's true., I struggled with the console controller I used for this footage. I'd love to have an actual Defender machine but that's out of my reach really. I play it on the Xbox One now on a Midway Arcade Collection but as you say, it's not the same.
