The costume was originally going to be gray but their was a mix up when a newspaper published The Phantom comic in color and it turned out Purple and stayed that way since but in other countries The Phantoms costume is different Sweden, Norway, Denmark: Blue France, Italy, Brazil: Red

Obviously the writer of this episode had read up on Hindu text Mahabharata where a powerful snake character called Takshaka does exist. The ancient university city of Taxila that Alexander was said to have visited is named after him. There is no fish god called Manu. Unlike the Vengeful and violent Christian god, Yahweh of the Bible or the equally violent and vengeful Allah of Koran fame, Hindu gods never harm humans. They are always benevolent and invoked for protection from evil, or to help us when we are in need. Later we meet Kali, known to all Hindus as a most compassionate mother figure though fierce in demeanour. In Hinduism she is one of the underlying processes operating both within the universe and also transcendent to it. An energetic substratum both governing and transcending all creation. In our cartoon version she is termed a minion by a buddhist monk like figure. The term minion means: 'Underling of a powerful person, especially a servile or unimportant one.' My issue with this should be obvious. Though it can be interpreted as artistic liberty, that such liberties are hurtful to those for whom a deity such as Kali is a focus of love and devotion. Her mythology depicts her as fierce towards evil forces which threaten not only us, her beloved children but all creation to which she is mother. To term her a mere minion is therefore highly insulting towards Hinduism. The interesting thing is that though Hindus will have watched this episode, they will have ignored it as a mere example of European ignorance and moved on. The Goddesses true nature can be seen in the behaviour of her followers. Peaceful. Had the writer exercised such artistic licence with let's say 'The religion of peace' instead, all hell would have broken loose and a Charlie Hebdo incident taken place outside their office. They would have taught them their interpretation of the word 'Peace'.
