I remember doing custom games with KTFear and he was soo far ahead. At this time he just didn't go for it. Glad to see that he is not just aiming for higher levels but seems to be going for it! Very talentend player!

I think this shows very well how a good defend without panic works out. As sayed it was kinda a mistake for not going to tower rush with spears against french. The Mongol Player losed very quick Map Control and for a Civ that cant use Walls its really a death sentence. Especially when your enemy is an aggressive Civ aswell. The Wall Tips from KT should really help to improve your walling! Especially when its about placing your walls. I still think that the Wall on the east side is very gready, but i saw you often make a half Ring arround your bases when it would be more efficient to Wall with the Woodlines. Its of course easier to see this out of game than while you have to manage everything and the Fog of War clouds your Vision, but i hope it helps you to keep your base more compact especially against early aggression. The hardest thing i find is still to decide when you are ready to go out and wall your outer resources. If you doing to late the risk is high that your Vills are caught out, if youre doing it to early you dont have big military numbers and cant defend it really well.

Love the spontanious Ktfear videos giving good tips and trick! And why is it better for the traders to go a longer distance?

The game was designed so that longer trade routes make more money. Of course the travel time also increases with distance, but the income per trip grows faster (if not quadratic then at least more than linear) so that the income per minute is higher for longer trade routes. The reason they designed it this way is because otherwise players would just put their own market right next to the target market and have bunch of traders tick-tocking between the two.

The longer they travel, the more gold you receive on completion :)
