the animation is very clean and smooth feeling, even though there are plenty of other games like this, it feels comfortably different. I don't know it just seems like a pretty chill and relaxing game :) still demo but i think it has great potential👍🏼

It's actually a civilisation building game. You get to eventually leave the planet. (And that's that point I got up to then my save corrupted)

Catapult is definitely a siege weapon, a defence variant would be a ballista I guess. A real catapult doesn't cause explosions to effectively kill enemy soldiers, unlike the catapult from this game.

If you throw a bunch of smaller rocks then you can hit multiple people Ala mangonel/onager line in aoe2

@@josephdedrick9337 Well yes but no, this catapult clearly has 1 big rock. And trebuchet would probably be better for throwing a bunch of small rocks - it has a different mechanism reminds me of a slingshot.

This game looks fantastic, please continue the series! Also, there is a similar game (Although much older) called Red Alert 2. Pretty much the same style, just with futuristic tanks and less management, more combat.

Well I just like these games because I watched a bunch of people playing them I've never played with myself but it looks really fun and I just think that it just looks cool you get to do a bunch of stuff in that game there's a bunch of stuff to do like inserting games you don't get to do that much but in this one you get so many options and yeah and it just looks super cool and just like how the Army system works and how you can summon Heroes I just think it was really cool

siege machinery was used to defend castles not because it could take out enemy troops, but because it could take out any enemy siege weapons, and hastily built walls.

Honestly, this reminds me of the original Stronghold (and not favorably, especially given the years and advances). It's not bad. Compared on an even field, I'd still pick Stronghold.

@Vilxx Black ...it's not an alpha, though. It's not going to change graphics and mechanics in whatever time is left before full, kosher release. And it's not a bad game. Still, apples to apples, if they both cost $5 I'd buy Stronghold. There's nothing wrong with that opinion. The games are very similar. I like the more "realistic" aesthetic of Stronghold compared to the "cartoony" feeling of this one. I want to say the mechanics/polish are better, too, but there probably is some "rose-tinted glasses" bias going on there. I don't think those things are worse with the older game, though. This game doesn't look better in any way to me; it just has a different aesthetic, which I don't doubt some people will prefer. It's hard to say anything critical these days without drawing hate.
