Of course large number of South Korean weaponry are going to look similar to US counterparts, because they're literally BASED ON THEM. K1 series of MBTs are based on XM1 prototype and was officially designed by General Dyanmics. T-50 trainer looks similar to the F-16 because LM designed it in cooperation with KAI. The Sejong-the-Great-class destroyer is literally a Korean variant of the Arleigh Burke-class; approved by the US government.

+Puzzoozoo,,,, In order to ensure Korea peninsula peace. Don't you know North Korea is direct connected to China and Russia on land. It takes only 5 minutes for their military to cross CHINA/NK, RUSSIA/NK national boundaries over the river bridges. It is same consequences/effect as Chinese army, Russian army are already stationing in North Korea soil.
