Remember, the point of backpedaling as a DB is to give you time to read what's happening in front of you while preparing to either close downhill or open and run. Always look to create contact and don't ever give a receiver a clean release. Let me know any other drills you prefer down below.

Potentially, but there might not have been enough touching for a flag since it didn’t prevent the receiver from playing the ball.

Kids are flat footed. They should be on the balls of their feet. They also look uncomfortable in the drill. Tense , almost.
