Why do you compile the typescript when you are using ts-node to execute the code? Maybe in Oct 2020 they were not using ts-node but the CDK projects nowadays do.

lol you shouldn't use cloud formation, CDK is the way to go, everyone working at Amazon is switching to CDK. Cloud formation is a huge pain to work with.

@@mohammadakhtar6941 i think they realized everyone is just copy-pasting the CF docs, and changing a few variables per 50 lines... and then someone internally said 'hey we can automate this'... CDK just makes life 100% easier!
