He was a top contender for SOTY from 2016-18; even though he's way better now, he was just dominating the mid-late 2010's. You barely hear about Kyle Walker anymore, he got way too comfy, meanwhile Tiago is still ripping. It's also arguable Tiago could hit some (ofc not all) rails that Kyle skates, but Kyle couldn't pop as high or get as tech as Tiago imo

this guy is complete, man. you see skaters mostly as normal dudes who can do some tricks on a board and that's it. if you take it to a pro level that standard goes up, but it is rare to see this type of build. Tiago reminds me Nyjah in a way. both seem to be not only skaters, but athletes. he's got so much energy and seem so prepared is honestly inspiring (and unfair for the rest of us mere mortals lmao). regular, switch, fake, nollie, flips, grinds, slides, rails, curbs, gaps. when it comes to street skating, he's got it all. so fckg good to see him skate.
