Defining Absences in Oracle Fusion HCM

I have a case if you can help me with the HCM Cloud absence module, it is the subject of the substitute or who replaces the activities of a person who leaves in absentia. If the person leaves, the substitute for that absence remains. Can I generate an update to the substitute from the record of the person who goes on vacation?
