In this case teacher we use a derivation in the second coefficient. for to get the same operation in 1/2 positive, and 1/2 negative. so is very interesting the operation and the analisist in this case. in the absolute value how is different as a normal integral equation. thank you very much teacher excellente in resolution of this integral. For x equals zero if the absolute value is negative as a whole would be a better break even for the positives also.

is it also okay to increase the function until its solution is a double-root since it for both all f(x) > 0? for instance switch it to x^2 - 2x + (-(-2)/2(1)) = x^2 - 2x +1?

Uh ma'am, x^2 must be 2x^(2-1) right? [x^n = nx^(n-1)] And 2x derivative must be also 2 [cx = c]

From 0 to 1/2 the absolute corresponds to -(x^2-2x). This is explained before determining the integral.

Limit choice is wrong. For -(x^2-2x) will be -1/2 to 0. Pls correct it.

It is explained and justified in the discusion of the absolute vale the selection for the expressions to the corresponding integral. No corrections are needed.
