Running around screaming in random bandit talk. while a sane guy in your head is talking to you, swingin' a flaming axe with dynamite, constantly erupting exploding fire novas setting everything on fire, setting yourself on fire, shooting fireballs at enemies with your mind, healing the whole time. Krieg is one of the funnest characters to play because you have to think like an actual maniac to play him properly lmao Fun fact: You can actually hear sane Krieg talking to you if you're playing as him, but nobody else can, so your teammates just hear you talking to yourself

Borderlands has always had good intros. But kreigs story was so amazing. In BL3 it goes more into depth about his connection to Maya the siren, the sane side of his conscious , and he has a pretty heartwarming and depressing background about him. Shit really pulls at the heart strings

Krieg's character is a LOT to unpack, but he probably has one of the deeper backstories for a playable character in the Borderlands franchise. He gets his own DLC level in BL3 pretty much entirely devoted to his psyche and backstory.

I think one of the cooler details of his skillset is that he gets some Siren abilities likely implying her helping him fight. I wish I liked BL3 more so that I could see where his story goes. Edit: Speaking of people coming up and asking random questions. I always I like that one video where a guy walks up with a clipboard and asks a girl if she can defend a mugging. She says no and he pulls out a gun and says ok. It's so simple but always gets me.

Hey guys! Love your reaction. Krieg is such an amazing character who went through a lot in his time. Saw on your schedule that you will be doing Destiny: Rise of Iron. I very very VERY strongly recommend before you do that video watch a playthrough of the strike mission called: "The Devil's Lair". And pay attention to the name of the Boss of that mission it will be important during your watch of Rise of Iron. Also while trying to avoid as many spoilers as possible do a little research on the character Saladin Forge. He is a very important figure in the history and universe of Destiny. I say all of this from the perspective that since no one is showing you strikes and raids then you guys will be confused because most of this expansion calls on stuff that is in Strikes like the previously mentioned one and a once month PVP event called The Iron Banner. If you would like me to tell you some things to prep you while also avoiding spoilers then feel free to reply to this comment asking me to do so and we will figure something out from there.

There's a whole DLC about delving deep into Krieg's mind in Borderlands 3, learning quite a bunch about his backstory, it is named Psycho Krieg and the fantastic fustercluck! Thinking about Borderlands 2 just makes me want to play it again, Krieg again especially, throwing buzz axes at the heads of midget psychos and bandits, suddenly playing Tiny Tina's wild D&D campaign (which I highly recommend but it does have spoilers about the main story, heavy spoilers!) Most of the series is fun to react to! Except Borderlands 3, which in my opinion the main story was a bit meh, the improvements to the guns are nice, though!

If you remember tiny tina, there’s a theory that is VERY LIKELY to be true that he’s actually her dad. So yeah, the developers definitely wrote him out before releasing him.

The Borderlands 3 DLC with Krieg is awesome because you literally go inside his mind. There you interact with both the sane and insane versions of him. I also love him and Maya. She is literally the only person he respects and cares about, and anytime she's mentioned the insane version calms down and reflects on how much she means to him.

My wife and I put so much time into BL2 over the years, it’s our favorite of the series. She plays Gaige and I play Krieg. Best characters in the series. I always love playing melee builds in shooters because they’re usually very high risk/reward and Krieg has some really good builds that mean you need to be constantly killing to stay alive. Get him going and he can solo wipe entire areas in minutes with chained psycho mutant ultimates. We’re so attached to Krieg and Gaige whenever we get in the mood for some Borderlands we almost always replay 2. His passive that changes his fight for your life mode to dynamite tossing is a lot of fun too.

so, to drive it along, Krieg has three main styles of combat. Explosives, where he builds up clip size and overkill bonuses to cause more and more damage, even as far as chain reactioning an entire area of enemies cause you threw one grenade Melee, where you intentionally give yourself debuffs to your personal shield's recharge capability cause you gain extra bonuses when it's empty or you take health damage, and want to be up close and personal to your foes to introduce them to slappy the buzz axe, even going as far to make it so you can be friendly fired at to gain even more buffs. Yes, you encourage your teammates to shoot you to make you stronger. or pyromaniac, where causing elemental effects sets yourself on fire and lets you deal incredible amounts of fire damage, all while your character monologues random nonsense as they burn everything to the ground

The best part for the meele build is that a shield exists that has actually no shield energy but gives you a big health buff, so with Krieg you get the buff all the time since your shield is technically depleted but still have a shit ton of extra health

I may have whizzed a little when this popped up, so excited. Borderlands is definitely one of my favorite game franchises, and A Meat Bicycle Built for Two is wonderfully twisted, and the perfect introduction to the character of Krieg, who is my 2nd main in 2(after Zer0), and who rounds out my top 3 along with Mordecai. Don't get me wrong, the Sirens are badass, as are all the playable characters, really, but Zer0, Mordecai, and Krieg are perfect for the dichotomy that is my split preferred play style. Or something. Krieg is my favorite character out of all the borderlands games he is a high risk high reward character I love his melee skills the most maxing them out causes you to mutate into a monster taking less damage from everything while healing as you chop down your enemies the only danger is him self sometimes he'll smack himself in the head doing serious damage to him self

kreig is a very fun character, especially if you like pure chaos, weather it's intentionally letting your health get low to go into a stronger rampage, setting yourself and everything else on fire, or deciding the explode the world for being too peaceful while also being on the most hostile planet. think about that last one lol. edit) kreig is also likely a worshipper of khorne, so if you wanna let loose your inner Warhammer heretic, play kreig.

yeah Krieg is the best character ever written... and he was incredibly well written(I like characters whose backstories you have to piece together through audio logs lines of dialogue) until they changed his backstory in a DLC for BL3 making everything that references his backstory in BL2 completely meaningless from him wondering if "she" got away safely(referring to either Tiny Tina or Sammy which doesn't matter anymore because in his new backstory he was never in the same building as Sammy or Tina when the thing happened, in fact, he has never once met anyone named Sammy and he only met Tiny Tina during the main story of BL2) to him getting a note that says something along the lines of "I'm as sorry as a slicewound sincerely Sammy"(because in his original backstory Sammy was the one that turned Krieg into a what he is but only because Handsome Jack would have killed Sammys lover if she didn't perform those experiments) sorry about ranting I just hate retcons like this with a burning passion... but at least the expansion where we explore his new backstory in BL3 had a good ending and amazing weapons(like an E-tech/alien gun that shoots what I hope is milk and a shotgun that impales people from every possible angle)
