The Sisters (Adepta Sororitas) are my favourite faction, they are harsh on Heretics and mutants, but in the world of 40k you need to be, because being a Heretic isn't just "Their beliefs slightly differ from ours" it means they worship a dark entity which will literally warp them into an abyssal abomination of death and torment. They also always make me think of the quote "She did everything he did but backwards and in heels", the Sororitas do everything the Astarted do but without being gentically engineered super soldiers and in heels.

Sister of battle- they are the religious army. Adeptus astartes are the angels of death, Made by the emperor. i liked the difference betweeen the two and their lines. Also Boldermort is amazing. truly. Can recomend "if the emperor had a text to speach device" its a parody of warhamer 30K / 40k but truly an amazing series that got alot of ppl into warhammer and the lore.

this was brought up in a earlier video, so ill post it here aswell. Oppression is hardly a concept for the average citizen of 40k, human life is a resource at the imperium's disposal, if you dont like your job, you'll simply be turned into a mindless servitor or biomass, opinions, likes, preferences, aren't things the imperium puts into the equation because it is simply not a concern to them. Everything is constantly trying to snuff humanities lights out, its basically a constant brink of survival scenario which leaves little room for other things then slave labor and warfare, and even if your entire planet stands behind your opinion and rebels, you'll simply get exterminated as to not pose a additional threat to the Imperium. As for the astartes, to even be selected for the trials to become one, is seen as an immense honor, a honor no family would turn down nor fight, even though the odds of seeing each other again is near non-existent, or the chances of the chosen one even making it through the trials are thousand to one. Just seeing a Astartes is a rare occurrence for the average citizen, they are likely spoken of as myths or legends on most worlds. While in other settings like star wars, losing a fleet of a hundred ships would be an issue, not least to say noticeable, for 40k, this is probably a daily occurrence, loosing a hundred ships, or a few million guard soldiers, would likely just result in the deployment of a few hundred more ships, or millions of guard into the sector or area. I suggest you look into 40k's hive worlds, these really put into scope how insignificant human life is, what we in 2020 see as "overpopulation" amounts to the very smallest of hive cities in 40k, cities of which these planets have plenty, what are a few million guard when you have planets with trillions of souls to take from? The scope of 40k is truly immense, you have to keep this in mind when watching these things, i hope this helps put things into perspective

Someone else may have said this. But the novelty of Warhammer 40k, is that everyone is evil. All races and empires have become the bad guys. So think of it as bad guys against bad guys. Which is why it is so popular and fun, since everyone is the villain. Specific to the preachy female character. She is a Sister of Battle. A member of the Adeptas Sororitas. A religious order of battle Nuns under the church and linked to the Inquisition. They are an all female order of warriors that go forth and cleanse all evil. Even human. The Orks are probably about as good as you can get in 40K. They're just lookin for a good fight. That's it. They don't torture people into living furniture pieces like the Dark Eldar, they don't give a shit about religion one way or another, and they certainly don't care about ruling the galaxy or whatever. Deys just lookin fer sumfin ta hit. Same with the Tyranids. They're not inherently evil, they are a hive mind with one directive: consume and grow. Yeah the sisters are very all about "purge the witch" and purity of soul. The space Marines are basically just weapons with the soul of a man. all they care about is battle and following orders. Sisters are more concerned with your character. And generally not in a positive way. The Adepta Sororitas(My personal favorite faction) are the all female fighting arm of the Ecclesiarchy(Church of the Emperor of Mankind). These women are fanatical "battle nuns" that purge the Imperium of Man of Heretics, Mutants, and Xenos(aliens). In a world where there is no Good side, but more of a flavor of evil, these girls are among the worst. But these women are absolutely hard. They are non-augmented 100% human women that rely purely on their faith in the Emperor of Mankind to give them strength in battle along with some "miracles" along the way. Plus you get to say "nuns with guns," its so cool.

It's a rather comedic send-up of 40k tropes, framed as the memoirs of a Commissar who wishes for nothing more but a coze rear echelon posting... but instead is the universe's chew-toy: he ends up in life-threatening circumstances, gets out of them by dint of sheer luck and ends up being interpreted as a larger than life heroic figure. Which, of course, leads to increasingly more dangerous postings fit only for THE HERO OF THE IMPERIUM.

Well that is the thing with the whole Warhammer 40K universe and all the factions and what makes it such a fascinating world and amazing games to play, there is no good guys or bad guys. you pick your favorite faction to play and you are no more good or bad then the rest.

Uhhhh, pretty sure that most races will see the Tau to the "Good" end of the spectrum and the Dark Eldar to the "Evil" It is getting so that the Tau aren't quite as Goodie Two-shoes, but the Dark Eldar are still very much the most objectively evil faction in the game.

Sisters of Battle or Adepta Sororitas, are litteraly Nuns with guns. THey are Faithfull beyond...Belief, their Faith is strong enough that they can conjure small miracles from the Emperor himself, thats how she healed herself from the Alien weaponry effects. Sistas are knowed for their Faith and miracles they performs, even on the table top, it is one of their mechanics, where each turns they can conjure one special effect through their devotion and faith. They have a long line of Martyrs and Saints, that gives Hope to Humanity's citizens or Dread and despair to their enemies.

We actually saw another nuns with guns incident in a trailer that we have coming up next week for a different franchise 😂 But good to know the Sisters are the original nuns with guns 😁

Nuns With Guns are mostly motivated by faith in the god-emperor, more so than most. The irony is, the emperor of mankind wanted to do away with religion entirely. He had watched civilisations rise and fall - including ours, more or less - and the last thing he wanted was to be worshipped as a god. But, as usual, once such a prominant figure was removed from public interaction, those speaking for him started the Imperial Cult. The thing of it is, faith seems to have helped stave off the predations of warp entities over the last 10k years; and as the millenium turns and things become more dire than ever before, it seems as if whatever's left of the emperor is finally leaning into it. ...Also, the green aliens are an ancient machine race that tried to wipe out all life in the galaxy, took a *very* long nap, and now they're trying again. So, there's that.
