Diablo IV Triple Trailer Reaction - Gameplay, Rogue and Necromancer

The Priests of Rathma, otherwise known as Necromancers are probably my favorite Lore Organization in Diablo. Since despite the Necromancy they aren't really a bad group, seeking to keep the balance of things like the light and the dark. But due to the fact their art lets them raise corpses among other things, they are understandably shunned and seen in a horrifying light by others that don't understand them. Fun fact, the Priests of Rathma never suffered any of the corruption that hit the other Mage Clans, due to their philosophy on death and how they do not fear its arrival nor seek to deny its passage when their time has come. They are very pragmatic.

They're very rathmatic Yeah, I like their lore as well. Like in this trailer people miss that she only resurrected that man to get information on how to basically help locals, and sent him back to rest immediately after.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Also, Rathma if im not incorrect is the son of Lilith (New Female demon antagonist, also niece of Diablo) it's kinda interesting because Lilith is a demon and Rathma's father is an angel. He's the first Nephilim. So Rathma and his Necromancers are keeping the balance between the 2 sides of heaven and hell.

I've always loved making good necromancers in dnd. That yo7 don't have to be just straight evil, and this is the first time I've seen it portray that they weren't evil and omg I'm so excited!

The ears is probably a reference to pvp in diablo 1 and 2, when you killed a player you collected their ear, they didnt do anything just a trophy or sell for 1 gold. Diablo 3 didnt really have pvp so no ears dropped... In Diablo 1 and 2 i collected my own ears.... i died a lot to other players...

You can never have too much Diablo! I do love the Rogue and will no doubt give that class a try in Diablo 4, but I'm always partial to my spellcasters in these games. Sorceress was my class in Diablo 2, and Wizard in Diablo 3. I will no doubt play all the classes at some point, but gotta go with my heart on the first playthrough and go with Sorcerer again. I'm also looking forward to having the ability to customize how your character looks as well. Not only can you choose their gender, but I believe you can also customize their facial appearance, and not just change their armor as you play the game. So that should be fun. But I am the most excited for Lilith oh my god. Her design is amazing, and I can't wait to see what the Mother of Sanctuary has in store for us. Nothing good, I assume!

More Diablo is always a wonderful thing, oh beautifully diabolical couple!😁❤️These we're all awesome trailers, for sure, but my favorite was definitely the Rouge's trailer, very excellent story telling in that one. Can't wait to see more Diablo from you guys, and definitely can't wait for this to finally come out. Loved the first two main games, 3 was...fine, but this should be a fun return to form, hopefully. Rogue hasn't been playable since Diablo 1 in the 90s. They were in Diablo 2 as AI just Act1 townspeople and a companion. This was so exciting to see her playable again! Also in Diablo 2 when you died in pvp your ear would drop and players could pick it up, it was like a trophy in a way, even though they didn't matter much.

I really recommend if ya'll try playing Mad Max, although I'm mostly saying this because you NEED to experience the combat, where each hit has MASSIVE impact, to the point it feels like you crack open enemie's skulls with each punch, there's also a car, a dog, your black finger (mechanic) and your trusty harpoon during car rides, so you can fling enemies far away into the wasteland sand!

I know I am bit late to this vid, but the collection of the ears are bounties, similar to real life. When back in the dark age the church was the law and the collection of penitence for thos who who harmed the flock, would it be ears, eyes. The tongue or sometimes the heads of the one who committed crimes against the church. Made lies where it did not do such things even though recent findings in historical records say other wise.

so i have my...issues with diablo 4 and fears lets start with the obvious: false advertising - "new class rogue" - is not actually new, already has been in diablo 1, and while not in name, by skills was the assasiin in dia2 - they said they will only sell cosmetic items and yet we already know that to be a lie - they said it to be a real diablo experience yet made quite the chances like shared open world changing gameplay drasticly - with wc3 reforged, diablo 2 resurrected and diablo immortal and arguably dragonflight blizz hs currently a recent track record of completly failing to meet expectations and fckn up their games and pair that with a release announcement thats way too early for dia 4 - they clearly make it casual friendly which will usually mean insanely low difficulty (until you unlock higher tiers) and to lore: - Lilith was said to be the mother of all demons in diablo 1. turns out shes actually the mother of all nephalem in 3 and actually the good guy, now she is the big bad again? make up your mind. - We already defeated ALL major and minor and even the ultimate evil. The only upgrade would be the actual source of all evil the ancient dragon (tiamat?) that was killed by Anu (ultimate good) but those predate angels, demons and mankind. I cant see Lilith as a threat. - what they can and likely will do is "oh soulstone broke so all are freed so we can now recycle all demons you already fought and now they are even badder because of magical shennanigans" - the world has been almost anihilated in dia 2, again in dia 3, sort of in diablo immportal. How ecactly is anything still standing and working? Also all the big names are dead - cain gone, tyrael gone (mortal ;)) griswold gone...we barely have namedropped locations left to explore (like the lands of the druids which should be toast cause Baal marched through them to get to Arreat) - we played random adventurers, superpowerfull elite members of our respective classes and chosen one demigods....what will it be this time? I am all for going back in time rather than progressing forward at this point. How about making diablo 4 about the Sin Wars where heaven and hell clashed with nephalem on both sides - vastly new possibilities for skills, locations, monsters, npcs, lore....those who played diablo 1 will get to see the great heroes that were mentioned like Arcaine who was apparently the greatest hero mankind ever had and single handly turned the tide in the sin wars. i guess ill play diablo 4 anyway cause it looks nice and i like some brain dead gaming occasionally but i really would expect much more. Path of exiles 2 will likely end the diablo franchise im pretty certain they will be superior to diablo 4 in every aspect just like PoE 1 was to dia 3

Honestly this makes me kind of sad. It looks really cool and a return to form. But Diablo Immortal was so consumer hostile and so manipulative, it felt like they were legitimately trying to scam their customers ever second, you're playing the game. You can even see the swing in reputation they got looking at the Rogue vs the Necromancer being the Rouge came out before Immortal's launch. Everyone was like, "this game looks like it'll be awesome I can't wait" to "it looks good but I'm not sure I want to risk it." I don't know what they'll do but all I can think about on the Necromancer trailer and even now watching these again is, "even though Immortal was a critical failure it was a massive financial success so why wouldn't they repeat that with the game that cost more in production even if it ruins the end product?" That and they confirmed a cash shop which they claim no pay to win but they said the same with Immortal and even if they are not straight up lying to everyone's faces, I know that song and dance. Wait a few months then start selling small boost then go full p2w and right now, I don't think Blizzard has enough integrity not to do that. All in all, it could be fantastic, but I would seriously think about waiting a week or so for reviews to come out before buying this game.

Fair assessment. Curious what your thoughts on Microsoft as a gaming company are. We are hoping the deal goes through so that the good ip that Blizzard has doesn’t die and can be handled better 🙂

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I honestly don't think it'll help in the ethics department at all. Really, at the end of the day, it's a $1,800 billion company buying a $60 billion company. They did that to make money and you don't make money being nice. Ultimately, games like Diablo Immortal makes a ton of money even if it's created from the grease off Bobby Kotick's back. A game that cost say 125 million to make and can suck around $70-300 out of a few million isn't as profitable as a game that can cost half that but suck $30-$20,000 a month out of a few hundred thousand people over a year. So to say Microsoft is going to force Blizzard not to make hundreds of millions off their clientele is overly optimistic. An example of things heading this way. A lot of the problems people had with Blizzard and really Activision as a whole, (a lot of the shady business practices and the sexual harassment allegations) were done under Bobby Kotick's watch (the CEO of Activision Blizzard) now a lot of people thought Microsoft was going to be a big turnaround, Bobby is getting fired and Microsoft will save everything but ol' Bobby got his contract renewed. Why? Well, he makes a stupid amount of money for the company. Yeah, people thing he's evil and they keep drawing devil horns on his pictures, doesn't stop the fact the man is a huge asset for the company. To be fair, maybe Microsoft will rein him in a bit but he's sticking around. I think the other thing is Blizzard is out of touch with their own market. Like the big Immortal backlash when it was announced at Blizzcon was because they were announcing a phone game to a PC dominate crowd and they didn't seem to realize that. That's like going into a vegan lover gathering and flopping a steak on the table then saying, "Don't you guys like food?" when they boo you. It should be obvious not to do that if you have even basic knowledge of the market. You don't really fix that with money.

Why do you need a console? all of those are on PC. Well Immortal is a mobile game I guess but there is a PC port for it.

In Diablo you don't really play as a certain character it's just a default look for the class, Blizzard makes that default into a defined character into a character later on for other products like HOTS or books or marketing or whatever, but when you pick Rogue, Barbarian or Sorc you're just picking a class for the purposes of the game.

Imagine if they ever added a dragon-human hybrid class. A normal human turning into a draconic human like with scales and glowing eyes. It would be so badass to see a cinematic of what I mentioned. Sigh.... if only they added a dragon born class. One that demons fear the most, one that burns them to ashes with fire and sheer strength of might or even other elements but not like Sorceress, just something more powerful and savage.
