Always cracks me up with the scene where Obi-Wan tells Anakin; "I hope you atleast told Padme i said hello". Like yeah, Obi-Wan isn't blind, obviously he sees what's going on, but he understands and lets their relationship pass, even though Jedi aren't supposed to be in relationships.

it's kind of wholesome Rex knows about their relationship and covered for Anakin so he could talk to Padme. That shows how much he trusts him. Also the end is near. You can see Padme's baby bump

There's an unfinished/deleted scene, where Anakin sees a drawing of Padme on the side of the Bad Batch's ship. The drawing was slightly provocative so, as you can imagine, Anakin was not happy about it.

Fun fact #1: This arc was originally not supposed to be part of the last season. Before Disney first cancelled the show, it was planned to run for 8, 22 episode seasons, and this arc was supposed to be part of Season 6. Therefore at the time, they saw nothing wrong with a joke like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/npeolJ-Jhp2Knsksi=52SIfPRLmvMh7_un However, when the show was revived for Season 7, this ended-up being Padme's final appearence, so they felt, it would be wrong to keep her the subject of a joke, and instead they made the scene with Anakin.

Oh Echo, watching this for the first time I had tears in my eyes (I still get them when I rewatch it). Those years after echos “death” were hard and then waiting so long and they announced season 7 and then brought back echo, made me so happy

Got in early today! We're now halfway through the first arc of season 7! I really love this episode showing the dynamic between Anakin and Rex and just how close they've become fighting alongside each other throughout the war. That conversation with Padme is also amazing; it's probably my favorite part of the episode. That conversation wasn't in the original unfinished version that aired back in 2015, instead it had a scene where Anakin objects to provocative nose art of Padme painted on the Marauder. I think they made the right choice replacing that with the conversation scene. That scene also confirmed that Obi-Wan knows about Anakin and Padme to some degree. We don't know 100% if he knows that they're married, but he definitely knows something's going on between them. With that, I think we can move on to the fun facts for today. This episode is Padme's first and only appearance in season 7. She is wearing the same outfit that she wore during Revenge of the Sith when she went to confront Anakin on Mustafar. While not explicitly stated in the episode, it is heavily implied and later was confirmed that Padme is pregnant at this point. This means that this is technically the first chronological appearance of Luke and Leia, because I'm pretty sure that this episode takes place before Revenge of the Sith, which also means that it takes place before Padme tells Anakin that she's pregnant. We get a few first appearances in this episode starting with the final current member of the Bad Batch, Gonky the GNK-series power droid. His power unit cannot fully charge, making him a fellow "defective" along with the rest of the Bad Batch; Wrecker also frequently uses him for his weightlifting, so he's a multipurpose droid. We also have the first appearance of the planet Skako Minor, the home of the Poletec people, also making their first appearance. The villagers were voiced by Matthew Wood, the Supervising Sound Editor for Skywalker Sound (under Lucasfilm Ltd.) who also voices all of the battle droids on the show as well as General Grievous (whom he has voiced since Revenge of the Sith), but the Poletec Chief Qin Yazal is voiced by David Acord, one of Skywalker Sound's other sound editors who has worked on many other Star Wars projects including both movies and shows (he's also voiced a few other minor characters in the Clone Wars). It is stated by Tech that the Poletecs worship flying reptiles, who make their first appearance here, but are as of now unnamed. We also get the first on-screen appearance of a new droid model, the D1-series aerial battle droid. These droids made by the Techno Union served as security for their various facilities, though we do see them used to defend a trading post occupied by the Separatists in their only other appearance, the comic "Star Wars Adventures: The Clone Wars - Battle Tales 2." The only other first appearance is an unnamed Skakoan scientist, voiced by David Acord, who is seen working alongside a returning Wat Tambor, voiced by Matthew Wood. And, of course, we get the return of Echo (CT-1409). It seems that Fives wasn't the last Domino after all. It seems that, while he didn't die in the explosion at the Citadel, he sustained heavy injuries that cost him his right arm and both of his legs. It seems the Separatists outfitted him with a bunch of cybernetics in order to keep him alive for their experiments. I think that's all I've got for today. I guess we'll keep going on Thursday with episode 3 "On the Wings of Keeradaks." See you guys then! 😀
