As a half-Brazilian, I grew up listening to this song, while watching my mother crying buckets. I wasn’t mature enough to understand why at the time. Now I totally get the “Lara Effect”. ❤

That song was #1 in Brazil for many months, made Lara a super star there, they also used her song for the soundtrack of the Brazil most favorite day time soap opera....... Laços de Família. The song became a smash hit and the most played song on radio

She did a lot of talent show. She was both on La voix (Au Quebec) and the voice in France. She is also linked to star academy in both Quebec and France. To my knowledge, in Russia, she did also work with the young singer including Dimash and Diana Ankudinova. She has double nationality. In Quebec, she is considered a Quebecoise if she wishes. In Europe, she is a Belgian with root in Sicily.

The ballad was a smash hit in Brazil and was part of the soundtrack of the Brazilian hit soap opera Laços de Família. The song became the most played song in Brazil during the 2000 year and became a classic in the country, due to the inclusion of the song on the soundtrack of the soap opera Laços de Família.[3] The song became the theme from Carolina Dieckmann's character "Camila", who had cancer. While shaving her head, the song was played in the background and this became one of the most memorable scenes from a soap opera in the country.[4] It was the most played song in Brazil in the 2000s. The Dooyoo review was extremely positive, and it said: "This is a beautiful song - beautifully sung and arranged. Originally recorded by Wynonna Judd in the album Revelations, the country feel has been stripped from the song and in Fabian's hands it becomes a stunning ballad. Produced by Walter Afanasieff, he reigns in Fabian's vocals until close to the end, but still finishes the song softly.

Yes Lara as already been director of star academy a tv show for singer of all age . She as also been judge at the voice in France and in Montreal . There is a video where she sing with a competitor the song "Je t'aime " in Montreal . At the beginning of 2024 she was in France advising singer of Star Academy the same tv show in Paris and singing with them the song "Je suis Malade " . Thank you for your admiration on our Queen Madam Lara Fabian .

Would have been nice had you "chosen" to go with Lara's performance of this song given at the "Juno Awards"(Canada's equivalent of the "Grammys")which occurred about a little over year after the "From Lara With Love" Concert took place, if for no other reason than to avail oneself of an additional opportunity to 'react' to her putting on a show in a different environment (one apart from or outside of the more typical intimate setting) ; grander venue , minimal staging , demanding audience , new look (hairdo) 😉 etc. The singing _itself_ is more or less of equal caliber as both performances are from LF's "golden(prime)era" 1996-2003 approx.

Hello, écoute cette performance live at juno awards canadian 2001. Lara chante cette chanson assise pied nu et elle chante en regardant la caméra, tu as l'impression qu'elle pour toi ,c'est exceptionnel. Quelques sois la chansons que tu écoutera de lara fabian, ça sera toujours la même émotion que ça sois en 1999 comme ce concert ou en 2010 ou même en 2024 .

Je voulais rajouter une chose ,écoute absolument l'album mademoiselle zhivago sorti en 2010 concert Moscou. Composer et écris par igor krutoy et lara . Igor krutoy le pianiste de lara et le pianiste de dimash. Les chansons mademoiselle hyde repris par dimash par la suite ,llora chansons écrite par lara en espagnol sur la violence conjugale exceptionnel, le clip de cette chanson est incroyable ,tu verra une lara qui joue le rôle d'une femme battu. Vocalise une de mes chansons préféré, lara chante cette chansons sans dire le moindre mot ,elle communique expression de cette chanson juste par son le son de ca voix ,ces murmures ,ça gestuelle du corps ,son visage . Écoute ce album

I been listening Lara since het self titled album LARA FABIAN in 1999. I get that you cant fi d the words to describe her singing. She is an out of this world singer songwriter and also very high level piano player. She never got the publicity in the USA and many times is compared to being jusy another Celine Dion. Not for me. Not even close since I find Lara to be a much better singer without the nasal tone of Celine . Besides Lara can sing in 5 languages I think.
