Great tip on pinching and cutting off both the leaf and its extension. I've also had success on stacking groups of large leaves (4-5) to leaf prune, helping manage the growth of the to keep it balanced and visually appealing. Try it out!

I pruned my Trident maple and now one side of the tree has some leaf scorch. Is this cause for concern, or will the tree continue to grow and eventually drop those leaves? Thank you

New leaves can be sensitive, we always put newly defoliated bonsai under 50% shade cloth
