I went to watch this show alone around 2002 at CCB. I remember the final scene of this tango being on the cover of the program book. When the act ended, everyone was standing on ovation and it wasn't even the end of the show. The person next to me was like me, alone and desperately looking for someone to share the unexplained moment he just lived. We shook hands. Since that day I tried to recreate by explaining the Forever Tango scene in the best possible way to my friends. When the show returned to Portugal I took my whole family to see it but this scene was not like the first time, not even close. It was necessary to wait until 2019 for someone to post the video of what really shows this unique moment. Thank you!!

and before that, i forgot what year, it was the 90s..i think 93? in Los Angeles... it was EVEN BETTER! this female dancer here, Miriam, was married to a dancer named Sandor who created this choreography and they danced together and they were superb.. In the show they did this number and another one at the end?.. with same outfit by them two..and it was EVEN BETTER!...then..SNAP! ahe fell for the DIRECTOR of the show! and ...they separated and drama ensued! it really ruined it...Sandor went on to ..find another dancer...! and her...at that point i think they made a 2nd troupe? but...it was never the same again...i went to frisco after they left LA..after a few months of GREATNESS ..it was the end of their marriage for real...and...well the magic was broken ..even the outfits werent as classy...and she got a breast enhancement surgery and i ...just..couldn't have been more disappointed but...thats life!...it still the best in the world, the orchestra is the best Luis Bravo too..and the dancers...always the best of Argentina..

I saw "Forever Tango" in SF back in 2004 and have since been mesmerized by this particular number. The music, the choreography, the lighting, the execution and everything in between are absolutely top-notch.
